BOOKINGS: A signed bridal contract and a $100 retainer fee will secure the client’s wedding date, if the client chooses wedding day services. The total balance will be due two weeks before the event. An invoice with the remainer balance and due date will be sent to you once the retainer has been paid.
Accepted forms of payment include: cash, card, cash app or venmo. (NOTE: bridal trials/consultations, travel expenses and deposit fees are separate costs.)
Venmo or Cash App is the easiest way for me to recieve the payments to avoid any processing fees, however I can send a link to pay by card if necessary!

TRIAL BOOKINGS: A cost of $90 will be charged for every bridal trial. The bride is responsible for coordinating and scheduling a desired trial run. Any client 10 minutes late to their trial booking will result in a cancellation of thier appointment and charged full price. Bridal trials are highly recommended anywhere from 2-4 months before the wedding day. I only offer a bridal trial for the bride. If other members of the wedding party are wanting to trial they can book a regular makeup application appointment. I require a $15 downpayment to secure the trial. Trials can be booked through my website.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Wedding cancellations must be made as soon as possible. Deposits are nonrefunable. If paid in advance, the remaining balance is fully refundable is cancelled at least 90 days prior to the reserved date. If cancelld less than 90 days in advance, your transactions can no longer be refunded and will result in the loss of your booking.
PAYMENT: The final balance is due two weeks before the day of the event — no exceptions. The person(s) responsible for the entire balance of payment is the person(s) whose name(s) appear on this contract. Accepted forms of payment include: Card, CashApp, Venmo, or Cash. Any final balance not paid by the balance due date will result in a $25 late fee per day late.
GRATUITIES: Gratuities are not included in the pricing lists. 20% gratuities (of all services preformed) will be added to final payment with 4 or more makeup applications booked. For agreements containing 3 or less makeovers, sugguested gratuity of 20% (for all services). Gratuities can be paid with the final will on the due date for the remaining balance and will be included in your invoice after paying the deposit.
USE OF IMAGE/Social Media: Unless prior discussed, Makayla Emberson, may use photos taken of clients makeup on it’s website, social media and / or in any brochure, flyer. Social media helps me grow! I would appriciate being added to your vendor list. Photographers, vendors and bridal party members can tag @makaylaxmakeup on Instagram and on Facebook Makayla Emberson ICT MUA, when posting videos or photos.
BRIDAL PARTIES: In a bridal party booking, a cost of $120 applies for the brides application and a cost of $95 applies for each bridal party application. Junior bridesmaids can be added upon request for $45 per person(s) 14U
The artist will be allotted at least one hour to complete the bride's makeup and 45 minutes to complete each person in the bridal parties makeup. If the artist is given less than one hour for the bride and less than 45 minutes to complete each person in the bridal party, this can result in the refusal of service and loss of payment unless previously discussed with the artist.
If any bridal party member opts out of getting makeup, but you have already booked them a makeup service, you will still be charged for that service.
BRIDAL PARTY SCHEDULING:
All members of the bridal party receiving services must be present and at the same location at the first scheduled start time. This ensures a smooth and timely application process. If all parties are present and we are ahead of schedule, services may proceed earlier than planned to maintain efficiency and accommodate the day’s timeline.
SINGLE BRIDAL APPLICATIONS: A cost of $150 applies for all single-bride bookings. Example: the bride is the ONLY client recieving wedding day services. In this booking there will be a $100 ratainer fee/deposit to secure the date and the total will be due two weeks prior to the event.
The artist will be allotted at least one hour to complete a single bridal application. If the artist is given less time than one hour to complete the makeup, this can result in refusal of service and loss of payment unless previously discussed with the artist.
SECOND ARTIST FEE:
A second makeup artist may be added to accommodate larger parties; however, this service is only available for bookings of six (6) or more clients. An additional fee of $100 will be applied to the total cost for the inclusion of a second artist. The second artist will be sourced, contracted, and managed solely by Makayla Emberson, and all payments for services rendered (including the second artist's fee) must be made directly to me. I will be responsible for compensating and hiring the second artist accordingly.
EARLY CALL TIME FEE: A $50/hr fee will be added to the balance for appointments starting before 8:00 A.M.
TRAVELING FEES: All travel fees are based on total round-trip mileage from the artist’s location to the event venue.
• 0–25 miles (round-trip): Flat rate of $50
• 26–50 miles (round-trip): Flat rate of $100
• Over 50 miles: An additional $50 will be added for every 25 miles traveled beyond the initial 50-mile distance.
These fees cover travel time, fuel, and wear and tear on the artist’s vehicle. Travel fees are required to be paid in full with the remaining balance prior to the event date.Destination or out of state weddings where I am unable to drive can be dicussed further with Bride if upon interest.
Destination locations over 3 hours of my current residence may require client to over milage or airfare, and hotel accomodations. Other travel expenses, such as tolls and parking garage/valet fees, will be added to the clients invoice.
OVER NIGHT STAYS: For bridal bookings 50+ miles outside of Wichita, KS, you may be subject to accomodating an overnight stay if makeup begins before 9:00 A.M.. The MUA will inform you upon booking if overnight accomodations will be required.
HOLIDAYS: Makeup applications booked on any U.S. Holiday are subject to an added charge of $100.
DAMAGE/THEFT: In the event that there are any stolen/broken/damaged items caused by any pet, child or member of the bridal party towards the makeup kit, tools or equipment- the artist will be compensated to replenish all stolen or damaged items.
SATISFACTION GUARANTEED: Makeup will be completed to the client’s satisfaction, and acceptance of the completed makeup application is acknowledgement by the client that the makeup is done to the client’s satisfaction.
LIABILITY: All brushes, tools, and makeup products are sanitized between every makeup application. Makeup products used are hypoallergenic. Any allergies and/or skin conditions should be reported by the client to the makeup
artist prior to application and, if need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction. Client will fill out or go through the Makeup Application Form with the artist prior to the appointment.
Client(s) agree to release the makeup artist (Makayla Emberson) from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.
AMENDMENTS TO SERVICES: Any additional add on's or additional coverage needed must be made known at least 2 weeks prior.
