Service Fee
The Mare Owner agrees to pay the full service fee for the use of MI CON ACRE for the 2025–2026 breeding season. Live cover is not available.
Fees are based on the type of booking:
Option A – Single Mare Booking: $2,200 (includes $500 booking fee)
Option B – Multiple Mare Discount: $1,850 per mare (includes $500 booking fee per mare) Multi-mare discount applies when breeding two or more mares.
Booking Fee
A non-refundable booking fee of $500 per mare is payable upfront.
The booking fee is deducted from the total service fee.
The remainder of the service fee is due upon a 30- or 45-day positive pregnancy scan.
Payment Terms:
No service certificate will be issued until all accounts (including veterinary expenses, agistment, or other charges) are paid in full.
Collection and shipping costs for semen are separate and payable by the Mare Owner. The Partnership is not responsible for delays caused by Australia Post or courier services.
Semen Provision
The Partnership will use best endeavours to provide semen in a timely manner.
Frozen semen may be substituted if chilled semen is unavailable.
Semen remains the property of The Partnership and may not be collected, stored, distributed, or sold by any other party.
Mare Requirements
A copy of the mare’s registration papers must accompany this contract.
All mares must be tractable and handled to lead.
The Partnership reserves the right to refuse service for any mare at their discretion.
Live Foal Guarantee (LFG)
The contract includes a Live Foal Guarantee for one foal.
If, after two service attempts, the mare does not conceive, the stallion owner may request a different mare at no additional service fee.
LFG is void if the mare returns to work/competition after a positive pregnancy test or fails to receive a 45-day pregnancy scan.
Mare Owner must provide confirmation of 45-day scan with service dates by 1 April of the breeding season. Late confirmations are at the Mare Owner’s expense.
Veterinary Requirements
Mare Owner agrees that The Partnership veterinarian will check the mare for normal breeding condition and perform necessary veterinary services at the Mare Owner’s expense.
Services may include: worming, treatment of infections, preventative measures, examinations, pregnancy checks, and treatment of illness or injury.
Abortions or Foal Failure
If the mare aborts, or if the foal fails to stand and nurse, the Mare Owner may return the mare for breeding the following season at no additional stud fee.
A licensed veterinarian’s certificate must be provided within seven (7) days of the abortion or birth failure, along with the original Stallion Service Certificate.
Stallion Unavailability
If the Stallion dies or becomes unfit for service, this contract is null and void, and any fees paid will be refunded less veterinary and agistment costs.
Liability
The Partnership is not responsible for disease, accident, sickness, or death to the mare or foal.
The Mare Owner is likewise not responsible for disease, accident, sickness, or death to the stallion.
