IMPORTANT INFORMATION
1. NSF Cheques will be subject to a $20.00 service charge. NSF cheque amount and service charge must be paid by cash or certified cheque prior to the event.
2. Registration deadline is November 21, 2025 (Postmarked) $15 Late Fee NO EXCEPTION.
3. “CANADIAN BATON TWIRLING FEDERATION (CBTF) RULES AND REGULATIONS EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2025 WILL BE IN EFFECT AND STRICTLY ENFORCED.” All questions are to be asked directly to the Competition Director. Judges may not be approached at any time. “JUDGES’ DECISIONS ARE FINAL.” Tabulated results are considered official 48 hours after announcement. No reimbursement for missed categories.
4. All athletes must be a registered member in good standing of CBTF for the 2025-2026 competition season. CBTF membership number must be indicated on the entry form. Athletes must have a Type A, B or G membership.
5. All athletes and groups must declare any medical support/brace worn for the prevention of injury as deemed necessary by a physician. Copy of medical certificate must accompany this entry.
6. CBTF RISK MANAGEMENT POLICY
The procedures when dealing with injuries or safety at all CBTF sanctioned competitions shall be as follows:
1) The Competition Director (or designate) and/or the Head Judge shall have the authority to immediately stop the competition whenever a risk factor related to safety becomes evident.
2) If this situation occurs during individual competition, the competition on the lane where the situation occurs will be stopped on that lane only by the competition director and/or the judge judging that event.
3) If an athlete has to leave the competition to seek outside medical assistance because of a situation that has occurred during a competition, he/she shall require a signed medical certificate in order to continue competing.
4) If the situation involves a medical injury or illness, the competition director, in consultation with authorized medical personnel, shall determine whether the athlete(s) may be allowed to continue competing. The CBTF Risk Management requires that a signed medical certificate be obtained before the athlete(s) is/are allowed to continue competing at that competition.
7. Special Needs Lane will be made available on request. Flash cameras not permitted in the gymnasium.
8. Awards - Pre-Events - Results will be posted in the morning. Open Events – Graded system will be in effect for All primary (6-8) & Juvenile (9-11) Level “C” &” BN” athletes. Open Events - 1st to 3rd place medals and 4th to 5th ribbon in divisions with 10 or more athletes. Results will be posted in the afternoon. Dance-Twirl Team 1st to 3rd place medals.
9. Athlete's age as of December 31, 2024. Age category: Pre-Events 4+. Individual events 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-17, 18+. Ages may be combined or split as entries warrant according to CBTF rules. Duet/Pair (age combined): 12-16, 17-22, 23-28, 29-34, 35+. Team/Group: Primary (6-8.999); Juvenile (9-11.999); Junior (12-14.999) & Senior (15+)
10. Pre-Group- Group I (Twirl Team) and Group II(Dance Twirl Team) these are standard music/routine. Participant must be Type B or G member for Pre Group. No ages and levels. Minimum age of individual member is 4.
11. Teams/Groups/Freestyles/Pairs – IPAD technology will be used. Email music MP3 format no later than November 21st to batonatlantik@gmail.com
12. Athletes Gym Fee – All participating athletes will be required to pay a gym fee with entry. Each athlete will receive unlimited free admission for family & friends and a set system.
13. 2025 Winterfest Soloist: Solo Event all levels and age categories. This event will count towards advancement.
14. 2025 Winterfest Pre-Competitive Twirler: L1= example: if an athlete enters two L1 or more and one L2 event. L2= example: if an athlete enters two L2 or more and one L1 events. If an athlete has 2 L1 and 2 L2 they will be considered L2. Top 3 twirlers in L1 & L2 will be awarded.
