Per Board discussion during the week of July 14 with a motion by Susan and a second by Judi, add the following to the BBRN Guildlines (current version):
            Guideline section 5 (weekly meetings)
Referral fees, thank you gifts, affiliate programs:

              - Offering a referral fee is not a violation of a BBRN guideline.

              - Members should NOT mention a referral fee at the meetings even though they offer one.

              - If that member wants to send a referral fee (or gift) to another member for a referral that is up to them. A member can refuse it or accept it at their discretion.

              - Members should not expect any compensation for a referral because that is what we are supposed to do for fellow members.

            Guideline section 2.1 (active membership)
            Qualifications of a category representative:

              - Although it is preferable for an expert in the category to fill that category, it is not a requirement.

              - Their role is to educate us as to who is a good referral for their business and why their business deserves those referrals.

              - The only requirement is that representing that business is their primary source of income

            Guideline section 2.2 (application)

              - Currently requires attendance of 2 meetings.

              - I recommend amending this at least 1 regular meeting since we will do an interview later.

            Guideline section 2.3 (inspection)

            Guideline section 2.4 (voting)
            Applicant on-boarding (to be integrated)

              - The applicant will give a 5 minute presention at an upcoming meeting explaining how their membership will benefit BBRN and its members because of value add in expertise/experience, network expansion, etc. 2 minutes will be allocated for Q&A.

              - The recorded presentation will be sent to members along with the electronic voting form.

              - Members are encouraged to contact the applicant prior to voting

              - All other processes to remain the same
