THE BEST OF MISSISSIPPI AWARDS

Business Empowered Mississippi, in partnership with The Best of Mississippi Awards, celebrates and honors leaders, businesses, and faith-based organizations from across the state! This year aims to award up to 5 - $1,000.00 Small Business Grants to business leaders across the state of Mississippi. You can nominate for each category if you wish, OR you can nominate one person, business, or organization of your choice. 

⚠️IMPORTANT MESSAGE: WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING SPONSORED NOMINATIONS UNTIL DECEMBER 31ST. NOMINATIONS OFFICIALLY CLOSED ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 23rd. ⚠️

GUIDELINES TO FOLLOW:

1. If You Are Nominating Someone: The Nomination Campaign is open to anyone living in the U.S., including Honors Club Members, Business Empowered International, and Mississippi Chamber Members, as well as all industry experts.

2. Nominee Eligibility: Nominees must be residents of Mississippi and at least 18 years old (except for any Youth sub-categories and Kid Entrepreneurs). Proof of previous achievements, adherence to honor rules and regulations, and compliance with the Nomination Acceptance Form are required.

3. Nomination Registration: Voters must register before nominating or casting their vote to avoid fraud and prevent multiple votes from a single individual on the same day. If you have voted in the past, you will not have to register. Register at www.thebestofmsawards.com.

4. Nomination Period: The nomination process will commence on Friday, November 21, 2025, and will conclude on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 7:00 PM CST.

5. One Person/One Category: Each nominator is allowed to nominate one person in each category. Submitting multiple nominations for the same individual or organization is not required on this platform.

6. Guidelines for Self-Nominations: If you are nominating yourself, you must provide an explanation detailing your qualifications or achievements.

7. Verification of Nominations: Before nominating, please ensure you have the correct email address and phone number of your nominee. If this information is missing, the nomination will be deemed invalid. Nominations will be reviewed to confirm that they meet the award criteria.

8. Nomination Approval: All nominations submitted to The Best of Mississippi Awards are reviewed and approved by the Nominations Committee and the Business Empowered Mississippi Board of Governors.

9. Nominations Acceptance: Once the nomination has been reviewed and approved, the nominee will be notified via email and text message. Please ensure that the correct email and phone number are provided. A listing of all of the nominees will be posted on the Best of Mississippi Awards Facebook page before the voting campaign.

10. Confidentiality: Individual nominations and votes, including sponsored nominations and votes, will be kept confidential and not disclosed publicly unless a nominator or voter chooses to share their selection (for example, through social media).
