When reviewing your application, we want to get to know you as well as we can. There is a limit to what grades and test scores can tell us so we ask you to answer a series of short answer essays. Use this opportunity to introduce yourself to the Awards Committee. Be open and honest. What you tell us in your essays allows us to better understand the information you have provided in your application.
The Bill Bradley Memorial Award was established by the friends and family of Orwigsburg police officer William Bradley upon his untimely death in 2010. It is a $750.00 scholarship that is given to a student who intends to major in criminal justice or a related field. The successful candidate will demonstrate the honesty, integrity, leadership ability, courage, and self-restraint of a police officer through a written essay that describes the qualities and characteristics they possess that would enable them to make a difference in the lives of others.
