  • If you answered "Yes" to the question above, please note that the Black Arts And Cultural Center does not support or condone the act of underage drinking. If attendees under the legal drinking age are present during your event, it is the reponsiblity of the host listed to ensure no alcholic beverages are consumed by minors under the legal drinking age or those who should sustain from drinking beverages of that sort. 

  • Policies for Reservation 

    • Reservations are 100% refundable 14 days prior to reservation date. Please note your set up and break down time must be included in your total reservation time.

     

    • If you have not included the time needed for set up and break down, please request changes at info@blackartskalamazaoo.org. You will then receive an updated invoice for the additional time added. Additional hours will not be added to your reservation until payment is received. Doors will open at the start time listed in final reservation form.

     

    • If you need to make any changes to your reservation needs, you will have until 10 days prior to your reservation to do so. 

     

    • Art work in our gallery is not to be touched, moved, or manipulated. The reservation holder will be held responsible for any damages made to art work or anything in the BACC's space during your reservation and will be billed.

     

    • BACC requires you to pay a deposit of $150.00 when submitting your reservation. This deposit will not be refunded if the following occurr:
      • Your event does not end at the time you listed above
      • You and your guest have not vacated the venue at the time you listed above
      • The venue has not been cleared/cleaned of items from your event
      • Items belonging to the BACC have been damaged during your event. This does not include art work, as that is a sepearte expense if damaged.
      • Items belonging to the BACC in the kitchenette have been used or consumed during your event

     

    • All decorations including linen, balloons, utensils, cups, etc should be removed or disposed of prior to leaving the venue. All trash should be placed in a trash bag (provided by BACC) and tied.

     

    • If you choose to rent tables and chairs from a business that is not the BACC, we are not responsible for the assembly, clean up, and break down of furniture that is not provided by us. These items must be handled by the person who reserved the event space, members of their party and the owners of the furniture only. Please note the BACC is closed on Mondays, so if your items need to be picked up after your event, please schdule pick up time accordingly.
