IBWA is the authoritative voice on all issues concerning the bottled water industry and the leading resource for bottled water information and facts. Founded in 1958, IBWA’s membership includes U.S. and international bottlers, distributors, and suppliers. IBWA works with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which regulates bottled water as a packaged food product, and state governments to set stringent standards for safe, highquality bottled water products.

Since March 9, 2017, the news has been official. IBWA and the Beverage Marketing Corporation (BMC) issued press releases on that day announcing that bottled water has outpaced carbonated soft drinks to become the largest beverage category, by volume, in America. That means bottled water is now the Nation’s favorite packaged beverage.
