APPOINTMENT PREPARATION
- Please arrive with clean lashes. The glue bonding process may be hindered due to remaining residue if lashes are dirty.
- Avoid mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, sunscreen and heavy creams or lotions the day of your appointment.
- Avoid caffiene prior to your appointment. Caffiene may cause your eyes to flutter which can affect lash placement and can result in fumes entering the eyes.
- Remove contact lenses prior to your appointment.
EYELASH EXTENSION AFTERCARE
The first 24 hour window is important and will dictate the longevity of your lashes.
FIRST 24 HOURS:
- Ensure lashes stay dry. Tanning, swimming, saunas, exercise, facial sprays and steamy environments should be avoided for 12-24hrs
- Avoid touching or playing with your lashes for the first 24 hours.
GENERAL AFTERCARE:
- Brush your lashes every morning and night to keep them tidy and limit any twisting or clumping. A take home lash brush is supplied at each appointment.
- If your lashes get wet, please wait until they are dry before brushing them to avoid clumping. Using a hair dryer on a cool setting would be beneficial to speed up the process. Any direct heat will damage the lashes.
- Avoid oil based products on or around your eye area. Oils will cause your lashes to fall out prematurely.
- Avoid touching, picking or pulling on your lashes.
- Infills are recommended every 2-3 weeks. Our lashes naturally grow and shed- this is an ongoing process. To maintain fullness, you will need to return regularly for your lash technician to re-apply extensions. As a general rule of thumb, you should expect to lose 3-5 extensions per day depending on your shedding stage. Infills apply if you have more than 30-40% of extensions remaining. Anything less is considered a full set which is inclusive of manually removing any grown out or twisted extensions.
- Cleansing your lashes every 2-3 days with a formulated lash cleanser is the most vital step when it comes to aftercare.
Cleansers can be purchased in salon & are compulsory for any clients who have lashes applied regularly. The cleanser is formulated to break down natural oils, dirt or any residues on the extensions. These factors are naturally occurring and everyone will experience build up on the lashes daily even if you do not wear any make-up. Cleansing 2-3 times a week will extend the life of your extensions and will support overall health and strength of your natural lashes. Please ensure this aftercare recommendation is followed as it is extremely vital
