Fees are payable via Cash or Bank Transfer and must be paid at the time of adoption.
Submitting this application does not mean you are commiting to adopting a greyhound. It is simply a tool we use to help both you and us identify a good potential match for your family and lifestyle.

Please note:

South Australia law stipulates that Greyhounds are not allowed off lead in ANY public area. BTG also do not support letting your greyhound run in off lead areas, (public or private) especially with other greyhounds. This can be a dangerous activity when not properly managed. Greyhounds are highly competitive, and could severely injure themselves or each other while running. (this is why they wear muzzles while racing). Your greyhound is also no longer at its peak physical condition and off lead running in large areas could cause more injury (or worse) to your greyhound.

Your greyhound must also be muzzled when in public unless it has achieved its muzzle exemption assessment.

Any greyhound adopted without their exemption will ALWAYS need to wear the muzzle while in public. This is law and can be found on the Dog and Cat Management Board website.

I agree to allow a representative from BTG Greyhound Re-Homing SA to contact me to arrange a home visit prior to adopting this dog. If I am approved to adopt a dog, I agree to pay a non-refundable adoption fee and hand sign an adoption contract at the time of adoption.

I also agree and acknowledge the requirements around greyhounds in regards to muzzles in public as well as off lead. I will not let my greyhound off lead in any offlead public areas.

BTG is solely a volunteer-based organisation. Greyhounds are available when foster care homes can be located. We would appreciate your understanding and patience with this matter.
When a greyhound is available that will meet your requirements, you will be contacted, and a meeting will be arranged.
