Thank you for your interest in serving at Vacation Bible School.

At this time, VBS servants must consider CCCV their home fellowship and have attended consistently for at least the past 6 months. These requirements help ensure that servants are familiar with the ministry, church leadership, and the heart of our fellowship.

We encourage you to continue attending services and getting connected at CCCV. We would love the opportunity to help you become more involved in the future.

VBS Code of Conduct* This field is required.In order to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants during VBS, we ask that all servants agree to adhere to the following code of conduct.

1. We expect all servants to treat others with respect and kindness. This includes kids, fellow servants, and leaders. Furthermore, a heart of submission to VBS leadership and a willingness to follow instructions are important.

2. Servants are expected to attend all scheduled VBS meetings and morning devotions, unless there is a valid reason for absence. It is important to prepare your heart to serve the Lord. If a servant must miss a meeting or devotion, a VBS leader should be notified as soon as possible.

3. Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes physical, verbal, and emotional bullying. Those engaging in bullying will be directed to VBS leadership immediately.

4. Always use the restroom in groups of at least three. This can be two adults and one kid or one adult and two kids. NEVER take a kid alone to the restroom. This is to ensure accountability and safety.

5. Servants are expected to use appropriate language at all times. Look for kind words and have a loving heart when communicating. Swearing, inappropriate jokes, yelling, arguing, and derogatory language will not be tolerated.

6. Servants are expected to dress appropriately for VBS. This includes wearing modest clothing that is suitable for the activities and weather.

7. All servants are expected to respect the property of others. This includes CCCV campus, materials, and personal belongings of others.

8. Servants are expected to follow all safety rules and guidelines such as following the directions of evacuation plans, food allergy protocols, kid check-in/check-out procedures, etc.

9. Cell phone usage is to be limited for emergency use only. Texting, calling, browsing, or using apps are considered distractions that can hinder your ability to minister during VBS. It is permitted to take photos and post on social media; however, out of safety for kids, please do not post a photo with the kid’s name tag/label showing.

10. Any incident resulting in physical injury no matter how minor must be directed to the assigned nurse for full review and reporting.

11. Servants are encouraged to report any concerns or issues to the VBS leadership. This includes concerns about safety, behavior of other participants, or any other issues that arise. i.e. If you encounter a kid that is disruptive and not cooperative, lovingly give them a warning. If they continue to be disruptive let a leader know so they can address the kid.

12. Servants are expected to comply with all rules and guidelines set for VBS. Failure to comply with these rules or show conduct that does not glorify the Lord may result in the individual being asked to not return the following day.
