    RISE for Autism seeks energetic, dedicated Part-Time Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to deliver high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis therapy in our center-based and home-based services during the late afternoons, evenings, and weekends with a few daytime hours. 

    The RBT will work under the supervision, direction, and guidance of the Director of ABA Services and case-assigned BCBAs and BCaBAs to implement evidence-based, individualized treatment plans. RISE for Autism is a local non-profit focused on filling the service gaps within Anne Arundel County and surrounding communities by focusing on children 8 years of age and older who have aged out of early intervention services.

    This role is ideal for those looking to pursue additional experience related to working with children, teens, and adults with disabilities (Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Intellectual Disabilities, Developmental Disabilities, ODD, etc.), as well as those looking to make a positive impact in their local community.

    Responsibilities

    • Establishes and maintain therapeutic relationships by building rapport and pairing
      Implement BCBA designed treatment plans with a focus on social skills, safety skills, and functional living skills;
    • Fades prompts and supports to build successful independent skills;
    • Provides direct therapy in individual and/or group sessions;
    • Implements evidence-based teaching procedures including but not limited to: discrete trial teaching (DTT), natural environment teaching (NET), prompt and prompt fading, shaping, chaining, mand training, and structured teaching;
    • Accurately collects and graphs data on behavior reduction and skill building programs
    • Collaborates with Director of ABA Services, BCBAs, BCaBA, Lead Trainers, and other team members to provide the effective treatment
    • Maintain the professional and ethical standards as outlined by the BACB
    • Maintains respect, client dignity and confidentiality as outlined by the BACB;

    Qualifications

    • Registered Behavior Technician certification (RBT) or obtain within the first 90 days of employment 
    • Background check clearance upon hiring;
    • At least 6 months experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders or other IDs or DDs in home, clinical, community, or school settings;
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively on a team;
    • Record of success in previous positions as evidenced by references;
    • Highly organized and detail oriented;
    • Ability to work with clients who exhibit aggressive or self injurious behaviors
    • After school/weekend availability during the school year due to client need. Summer hours are more flexible
    • Reliable transportation to job site which can include home, center or community assignments

    Hourly Rates: $21.50 to $26.00 /hour. Pay rate is based on experience
