Criteria:

The criteria for an individual(s) to be nominated for the Cape Vincent Citizen of the Year are as follows:
- Active participation in community activities that make a difference in the well-being of others
- Demonstrates loyalty to our community through definable, exceptional deeds that showcase their dedication to Cape Vincent
- Willingness to work voluntarily for the benefit of the community and others without compensation or recognition
- Has inspiring qualities that make them a role model for the community and future generations
Achievements and accomplishments can be during the previous year, in recent years, or over a lifetime.

*Disclaimer: Recipients cannot be a current employee of the Chamber or member of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Also, candidates must exhibit the above qualities outside the realm of their employment and not have been paid for their time.

The award will be chosen based on submitted nominations based on the above criteria by the Cape Vincent Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
