TOPICS
Papers are solicited on a wide range of topics including, but not limited to:
- Health IT’s adoption and economic impact
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) for healthcare (Agentic AI, Generative AI, human-AI collaboration, machine learning, and big data)
- Data ecosystems (health information exchange, interoperability, governance)
- New IT enabled care delivery models for clinical operational optimization
- Telehealth, mHealth, and patient engagement
- IT for healthcare applications (algorithmic bias, fairness and improved healthcare outcomes across populations)
- Applications for mental health
- Complex social challenges
Papers that approach these topics with diverse disciplinary perspectives: computer science, economics, public health, management, psychology, and medicine are invited.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Building an AI-ready healthcare ecosystem” with a focus on the following topics:
- Agentic AI and autonomous decision systems
- Generative AI and large language models (LLMs)
- Implementation science- the integration of AI with existing IT systems and clinical workflows
- Digital twins for optimizing operations and resource allocation
- Responsible AI for reducing healthcare disparities and improving societal health
The conference will include presentations, research round tables, and research panels (with several brief presentations).
Authors are also invited to submit to the track “Health IT and Analytics (HITA) in Action”, featuring brief case studies of innovations in HITA being applied for real-world impact.
