  • Enrolled CCM Prep music students who are in kindergarten through 11th grade during the 2025-26 school year are eligible to apply for the Gino James DiMario Memorial Scholars Program.

    This scholarship is not a competition, but a program to share the students’ love and dedication to music making.

    This scholarship is to recognize students of exceptional character as they develop their musical skill and achievements.  The committee will award this scholarship based on the following rubric, including a personal statement, teacher recommendation, and participation in CCM and musical activities. In the spirit of Gino, this scholarship program will conclude with a friendly recital to share the students' musical gifts with each other.

    Rubric:

    • 50% Personal Statement
    • 25% Recommendation Letter from Prep Instructor
    • 25% Dedication to Lessons and CCM Prep Studio

    Dedication to studio and CCM Prep  Participation in activities sponsored by CCM Prep or private lesson teacher, at CCM and around the community.  Also include musical activities at school, other musical organizations, and community service hours involving music.  25%

    At least three scholarships will be awarded.

    Please note:

    • September 30: Fall applications due for returning CCM Prep students
    • October 26: DiMario recital performance at 2:00 pm. Students should arrive by 1:15pm to practice stage orientation for the recital.

    Applications and teacher recommendation forms must be submitted by September 30. If you have questions about the application or application process, please email Joyce Grabell, CCM Prep Strings Director.

  • Gino James DiMario Memorial Scholars Program

    The Gino James DiMario Scholarship is given to CCM Prep music students in memory of Gino James DiMario. The program honors talented, motivated students who wish to expand their music involvement and connect their CCM Prep studies to other life experiences. Enrolled CCM Prep music students who are in kindergarten through grade 11 are eligible to apply.

    • High School – 3 paragraphs
    • Middle School – 2 paragraphs
    • Elementary School – 1 paragraph (must be student written, but may be parent guided)
  • Requirements for "great candidate" statement:

    • All Levels: simple statement or up to 1 paragraph
  • Students who apply for the DiMario Scholarship commit to performing on the recital at CCM Werner Recital Hall on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Please complete the program information noted below.

    • Teacher must be a CCM Prep instructor
    • Please contact your child's instructor to ask them to be a reference before submitting this scholarship applicaton form.
      • When you contact them, your responsibility is to make them aware they will be contacted by the Prep office for a reference for the DiMario Scholarship. No letter is necessary.
    • Once you have submitted their information below, we will contact them to complete the reference.
