Lincoln Chapman Young Artists Program (LCYAP) Audition Sign-Up

2026-2027 Academic Year
Audition Dates:
- Saturday, September 19 | 10:00 AM–1:00 PM
- Sunday, September 20 | 1:00–4:00 PM
Audition Location: CCM Masterclassroom, 3250 Mary Emery Hall

Students will sign up for one 10-minute slot.

What to Prepare:

The LCYAP experience involves much more than singing. Participants will be expected to physically engage in staging, develop characters, and bring a theatrical story to life. The reading portion of the audition gives us an opportunity to see you as a complete performer.

Vocal Selection
Please prepare one complete vocal piece—classical or musical theatre—that showcases your talent and artistry.

You may sing the entire selection, although the audition panel may stop you once they have heard enough to make an assessment.

Cold Reading
You will also be given sides to read at the audition. No advance preparation is necessary for the reading.
