Back to School Grant Program 2026
Frontier Services is an agency of the Uniting Church in Australia. We dream of an Australia where everyone who lives in our regional and remote areas are cared for and supported, having a mantle of safety and well-being. This includes ensuring children and young people living in these areas have the best start to life and have access to the same educational outcomes as their peers.
The Back to School Grants have been designed to help families pay for back-to-school items or activities that are not covered by the NT Back to School vouchers or equivalent vouchers in other States. In the NT this would include anything that is not offered or supplied by your school. An example would include colour ink for printing in a home classroom, or items like paint or furniture to set up a remote classroom. It could also be used for expenses while attending in-schools.
Applicant families must be residing in Central Australia, apart from Alice Springs and its immediate surroundings (20km radius).
Grants are for up to $200 per family.
Applications will be assessed as received and any funding approved will be paid directly to the applicant's nominated bank account.
If successful, applicants will be responsible for purchasing goods or paying for activities that are beyond the scope of any government-funded Back to School Voucher programs.
It would be appreciated if successful applicants would also consider submitting a photo or a few words Frontier Services could share with their generous donors and supporters.
