To provide a safer environment for the Blessed Sacrament AND Adorers (including substitutes & visitors), I understand the following:
- My 4-digit Chapel door code is unique to me, and I will NOT give the code to anyone, which includes family members, friends, fellow parishioners or anyone I know or I do not know.
- If anyone (known or unknown to me) asks me for the code, I will tell them: "For security reasons, you must secure your own code from the parish office. I am not allowed to share my code with anyone."
- I will NOT let anyone in the Chapel whom I do not know.
- I will do my best to ensure no one is watching when I enter my 4-digit code.
- Each time I use my 4-digit code, a record will be made automatically.
- I must be 16 years old or older to receive a code. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
- The altar area is off limits to all people. Food & drink, except water, are not allowed in the Chapel.
- If I notice anything of concern, I will call immediately the parish office (281-955-7324) OR Darlene Lusk (713-824-2336). I will leave a message if necessary.
- If I observe and/or fear imminent criminal behavior, I will call the police (911) immediately.
- I will do my best to find a substitute when I am not able to be present at my assigned hour by using the VSP system or by contacting my normal substitutes.
- If I have my own substitutes who are not regular Adores or substitutes, I will notify Darlene Lusk so that a form can be sent to them to complete and acquire their own 4-digit code.
- All time slots should have at least 2 Adorers. If my Co-Adorer does not appear for 3 weeks, I will contact Darlene Lusk & notify her of the absences.
- There is 24-hour camera surveillance inside & outside the Chapel. Prior to exiting the Chapel, I will view the TV monitor to see if anyone is outside the Chapel door or along the sidewalks to the parking lot.
- If my code has been compromised, I will contact Darlene Lusk. A new code may be issued.
