STORY SUBMISSION, USAGE, AND RIGHTS CONSENT AGREEMENT
1. Anti‑Discrimination & Inclusivity Policy
BFH is a trauma‑informed, survivor‑centered platform. BFH does not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or hateful behavior of any kind, including but not limited to discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, age, body type, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, relationship status, or socioeconomic status.
BFH provides avatars and narration options that represent a wide range of identities, including LGBTQ+ identities. All women — regardless of sexuality, identity, or background — are welcome here and deserve safety, dignity, and respect.
Any submission or communication containing discriminatory, hateful, or harmful language may be declined or discontinued at BFH’s discretion.
2. Identity Name Policy
You may use your real name, initials, or a pseudonym. BFH will not reveal your identity and will only use the name you provide.
3. Privacy & Confidentiality
BFH will never share, sell, trade, distribute, or disclose your personal information, email address, or story to any individual, organization, company, agency, or third party. Your information is used only for communication and preparing your story for BFH platforms.
4. No Purchase Obligation
You are not required or obligated to purchase anything from the BFH website. Any books, products, or CJ ads are optional and unrelated to your participation. BFH does not track purchases or clicks and does not prioritize storytellers based on purchases.
5. Story Rights & Usage
By submitting your story, you grant BFH permission to:
- edit for clarity, safety, and readability
- remove identifying details
- publish on BFH platforms
- archive and store your submission
- use excerpts for awareness, educational, or promotional content
Submitting a story does not guarantee publication.
6. Remixing & Compilation Rights
BFH may edit, remix, combine, restructure, or repurpose your story without additional permission, including:
- combining your story with others
- creating compilation videos or reels
- using excerpts in thematic content
- creating promotional or educational materials
Your story will always be represented respectfully and within BFH’s mission.
7. Avatar (Narrator) Usage
All BFH avatars/narrators are the exclusive property of BFH. Choosing an avatar does not grant ownership or exclusivity. Avatars:
- are shared
- are reused
- may narrate multiple stories
- do not belong to any individual storyteller
Selecting an avatar only determines the narrator voice for your story.
8. Logo & Brand Usage
All BFH logos — including the primary logo and all future program, campaign, narrator, or movement logos — are the exclusive property of BFH.
You may not:
- upload BFH logos to your own pages
- alter or recreate BFH logos
- use BFH logos to imply affiliation
- use outdated or retired logos
All BFH logos (past, present, future) remain protected.
9. Accuracy & Responsibility
You are responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of your story. BFH does not verify claims and is not liable for false statements or defamation made by storytellers.
10. Age Requirement
You must be 18 years or older to submit a story. BFH does not accept submissions from minors.
11. Safety & Trigger Disclaimer
BFH content may include sensitive or triggering material. BFH is not a therapy service, crisis hotline, or legal resource. Viewers engage at their own discretion.
12. Conduct & Boundaries
BFH does not permit:
- hate speech
- harassment
- threats
- doxxing
- naming abusers
- illegal content
BFH will not facilitate contact between storytellers or viewers.
13. Right to Decline or Remove
BFH may:
- decline any submission
- delay publication
- remove content at its discretion
- choose not to republish removed content
Removal requests will be considered but are not guaranteed.
14. Platform Evolution
BFH may update features, policies, or presentation formats as the movement grows. Your story may appear in new formats as BFH expands.
15. Future Compensation Policy
BFH is currently a free movement and does not monetize individual stories. However, if BFH ever:
A. Hosts a Paid Event
If your story is included, you will receive 3% of the event’s net proceeds allocated to story‑based material.
B. Accepts Story‑Specific Donations
If donations are collected specifically for your featured story, you will receive 30% of the net proceeds tied to that story.
BFH will notify you if your story is selected for either opportunity.
16. Technical Rights
BFH may store, archive, back up, and retain your submission internally, even if unpublished.
17. Final Agreement
By submitting your story, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms listed above.
