City Council Appointment Application

City of Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Due to a vacancy, City Council is seeking applications to fill an unexpired term through January 3, 2028. Interested applicants must submit their application through the form below by January 23, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Late applications will not be accepted.

Per the City of Lancaster's Home Rule Charter, "Only qualified voters of the City who have resided continuously in the City for the two years immediately prior to the date of the general election for Council shall be eligible to hold the office of Member of City Council."

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be a registered voter.
- Must have continuously been a City of Lancaster resident for at least two (2) years (since January 5, 2024.)
Public Interviews

Up to 5 candidates will be selected by City Council for public interviews during a special meeting of City Council on February 3, 2026.
