Please note that there are specific eligibility criteria to be eligible for the #CaliforniansForAll College Corps Fellowship at Cal Poly and a limited number of positions available. We appreciate you taking your time and effort to complete this application!
What We’re Looking For
- Passion for serving in partnership with the community to make positive change;
- Flexibility to serve in different areas and adapt to changing circumstances;
- Growth mindset and eagerness to try new things;
- Interest in connecting with and learning from other students and partners across the state;
- Willingness to be an ambassador for the Fellowship on campus and beyond.
- Ability to commit to serving 450 hours over the course of the entire academic year- averaging 10-15 hours per week.
When You Would Serve
- The Cal Poly College Corps Fellowship will go from September 2024-June 2025
What You’ll Do
Fellows will serve within K-12 Education, Food Insecurity, and Climate Action Organizations to build healthier and more equitable communities across California. They will do this in a variety of ways:
- Running outreach and education programs for climate change organizations
- Serving in local schools and facilitating after school activties, including atheltics and tutoring programs
- Supporting and serving within basic-needs organizations

- $7,000 living stipend, distributed monthly throughout service term
- $3,000 Education Award upon completion of 450 service hours

- Possible academic credit if arranged with your major department to satisfy internship, project, or coursework requirements
- Connections with Fellows across the state via a virtual community platform and regional events
- A sense of pride and accomplishment in working toward a common purpose alongside young leaders from across the state.
Where You’ll Serve
The Cal Poly College Corps Fellowship program offers service positions in local nonprofits and municipal agencies within a reasonable distance from campus. Some examples of service sites from the previous year:
- SLO Big Brothers Big Sisters
- SLO Climate Coalition
- Cal Poly Food Pantry
- City of SLO
- City Farm SLO
- San Luis Coastal Unified School District
- SLO Food Bank
