Forever Green Alum Award Nomination Application
Forever Green Awards are given to alums who have demonstrated outstanding commitment, exceptional service, and extraordinary dedication to the Girl Scout movement over time. They are alums whose leadership, initiative, and energy have strengthened Girl Scouting, made a significant contribution to the Girl Scout mission, and who exemplify the true spirit of Girl Scouts. Up to five awards will be given each year, to be presented at the Forever Green Event of that year. A nomination application with endorsements are required to be received by March 1 of each year. Award Requirements
The candidate is an active, registered adult Girl Scout.
The candidate abides by GSUSA and Girl Scouts River Valleys’ policies, standards and procedures.
The candidate actively recognizes, understands, and practices the values of inclusive behavior.
The outstanding service performed by the candidate has benefitted the council and has shown dedication significantly above and beyond position requirements.
Nomination Instructions
Complete the application nomination by March 1. Applications will be reviewed and nominators will be notified of the status of their nominations. Note that if the nominee is approved, she or he will receive a copy of the endorsement questionnaire.
The endorsement questionnaire should address the questions and provide relevant facts and specific actions and behaviors that show the service provided exceeded the expectations of the positions they provided. Years the specific services performed are needed. Please be specific about actions and services performed in your questionnaire.
Nominations are not confidential and nominees may be contacted to provide supporting information.
Self-nominations are acceptable.
Incomplete endorsements and/or application may result in disqualification of the nomination.
