    Western Sydney's COOEE Festival is returning in 2026 at Blacktown Showground on Saturday, 12 September 2026 and we are looking for volunteers to support us on the day. If you’re passionate about community, culture and creating an unforgettable experience, we’d love to hear from you! Submission of this form does not guarantee placement as a volunteer.

  • Volunteer Role
    Volunteers agree to support activities, programs and events in a respectful, professional and culturally safe manner. Duties may include event assistance, community engagement, bump in and bump out, and other agreed tasks.

    Code of Conduct
    Volunteers are expected to:
    - Treat all staff, clients, community members and fellow volunteers with respect and dignity.
    - Behave in a professional and culturally appropriate manner at all times.
    - Follow all reasonable directions provided by Event Coordinators.
    - Maintain confidentiality regarding any sensitive or private information.
    - Refrain from bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation or inappropriate behaviour.

    Attendance & Commitment
    Volunteers agree to:
    - Arrive on time for scheduled shifts or notify the organisation if unable to attend.
    - Commit to the agreed volunteer hours where possible.
    - Participate in inductions, briefings or training where required.

    Workplace Health & Safety
    The organisation is committed to providing a safe environment for volunteers.

    Volunteers agree to:
    - Follow workplace health and safety procedures and instructions.
    - Use equipment safely and responsibly.
    - Immediately report any incidents, injuries, hazards or unsafe behaviour to staff.
    - Wear appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for the role or event.

    Child Safety
    Where volunteering involves children or young people, volunteers must:
    - Hold and maintain a valid Working With Children Check where required.
    - Follow all child safe policies and procedures.
    - Maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times.

    Confidentiality & Privacy
    Volunteers may have access to sensitive or personal information during their involvement.

    Volunteers must:
    - Keep all information confidential unless authorised otherwise.
    - Not share photos, videos or information relating to clients, participants or community members without permission.

    Volunteer Relationship
    Volunteers understand that:
    - Their role is voluntary and unpaid.
    - This agreement does not constitute an employment relationship.
    - The organisation may end the volunteer arrangement at any time if behaviour or conduct is deemed inappropriate.

    Personal Belongings
    Volunteers are responsible for their own personal belongings. The organisation accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged items.
