• Rancho Cordova 4th of July Food Eating Contest Application

    Please complete this form to be considered for the 4th of July Food Eating Contest. We are only selecting 5 pre-registered competitors for each round so good luck! We will also be selecting 3 participants from the crowd so if not selected, you have a second chance! We will see you at the 3rd and 4th of July!

  • We are bringing back a bit of Americana as we celebrate America 250 with some fun competitions. 

    On both the 3rd and the 4th at Hagan Park, we are hosting three different eating contests.

    Who can be the first to finish 5 whole pies, crust and all?

    🌭 Uncle Sam’s Top Dog 🌭
    Who can be the first to finish 20 hot dogs, with the buns?

    Three contests, two days, one winner each round.

    Sign up today to be considered. You will be notified if you were selected to participate by June 29th. You must be available to participate on the date you applied for. Any conflicts or no-shows will automatically disqualify you from participating. Must be at least 18 years old and have your ID on the day of the competition to participate. No exceptions. 

    Selection to participate in the food eating contests will also include entry to the 4th of July Celebration ($5 value). Any additional guests will have to purchase separate entry tickets.

  • Liability Waiver & Media Release
    By participating in the Food Eating Contests held during the 4th of July Celebration, the undersigned participant acknowledges and agrees to the following:
    Assumption of Risk
    I understand that participation in eating contests involves inherent risks, including but not limited to choking, allergic reactions, food-related illness, nausea, vomiting, physical discomfort, injury, or other health complications that may arise from participation.
    I certify that I am physically able to participate and do not have any medical condition, food allergy, dietary restriction, or other health concern that would make participation unsafe.
    I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in these activities.
    Release of Liability
    In consideration for being permitted to participate, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless the Cordova Community Council, the City of Rancho Cordova, the Cordova Recreation & Park District, event sponsors, volunteers, staff, vendors, organizers, and affiliated agencies from any and all liability, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, injury, illness, allergic reaction, choking incident, medical condition, or damages that may occur as a result of participation in the event.
    This release applies to all claims, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
    Medical Treatment Authorization
    In the event of an emergency, I authorize event staff or emergency personnel to secure medical treatment deemed necessary. I understand that I am solely responsible for any medical expenses incurred.
    Media Release
    I grant permission to the Cordova Community Council, the City of Rancho Cordova, the Cordova Recreation & Park District, and their designees to photograph, videotape, and otherwise record my likeness, voice, or appearance during the event.
    I understand that these images and recordings may be used in promotional materials, social media, websites, advertisements, news coverage, and other publications without compensation or further approval.
    I waive any right to inspect or approve the final use of such materials and release all parties from any liability associated with their use.
    Acknowledgment
    By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this Liability Waiver & Media Release and agree to its terms voluntarily. I confirm that I am participating of my own free will and my participation is not in exchange of any monetary gain or financial agreement nor obligation.
