After the Diagnosis: Supporting Clients with ADHD & Autism

Receiving an ADHD or Autism diagnosis often brings relief alongside uncertainty with many clinicians feel unsure how to support clients beyond identification. This training bridges that gap by equipping clinicians with practical, neurodiversity-affirming interventions for the post-diagnosis phase of therapy. Grounded in DSM-5-TR criteria and current neuroscience, participants will learn how to reframe diagnosis beyond pathology, address common misconceptions, and support executive functioning, sensory regulation, identity development, and self-advocacy. Attendees will leave with a clear roadmap and ready-to-use tools, including psychoeducation language, worksheets, and conversation guides, to confidently support clients after diagnosis.
