CSC Postgraduate Scholarships

The Postgraduate Scholarship program consists of the Langston Rodgers/Wylie Smith Postgraduate Scholarship and the scholarship is worth $6,000 for the academic year.
The Scholarship is named in honor of former Scholarships Committee chairman and long-time Sports Information Director Wylie Smith at Northern Arizona University, and for Langston Rogers, former College Sports Communicators President, Hall of Famer, Mary Jo Haverbeck Trailblazer and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient who is the SID emeritus at Ole Miss.
The Postgraduate Scholarship is designed to assist outstanding aspiring graduate students in athletics communications offices who have expressed an interest in pursuing a career in athletics communications and require financial assistance for their postgraduate education.
Requirements
- The applicant must carry a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) for all undergraduate (and graduate) academic work to date.
- The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student (6 credit hours per semester) for the entire 2026-27 academic year.
- The applicant must have an interest in pursuing a career in athletics communications and must be active in the athletics communications office at his/her graduate institution.
Terms and Conditions
- One Postgraduate Scholarship will be awarded for the 2026-27 academic year.
- The scholarship will be allocated as follows: $3,000-September 2026; $3,000-January 2027.
- Proof of full-time enrollment for a minimum of 6 hours each semester at the graduate school of the student's choice must be submitted before funds will be released.
