REQUIREMENTS:

• A personal interview on the school grounds will be required for consideration in the Garden Apprentice program. When your application is received, we will send you a letter of confirmation and contact you to schedule a visit to the Emerald Valley gardens. It is our goal to complete these interviews by early January. Please let us know if an in person interview is not possible for you.

• We ask for two letters of recommendation from people who are familiar with your work and your abilities (other than your family) to be uploaded to this application.

• We ask for one photo of yourself (to be uploaded to this application).

Gardening and farming require hard work~ though there are many aspects of our program such as seed starting, harvesting and transplanting, there are other necessary tasks including lifting, using wheelbarrows, working with compost and using electrical equipment such as weed whippers and mowers. Do you have any concerns about this kind of work?*
