Our scholarship participants are primarily folks who identify as BIPOC, our primary focus is to local indigenous youth. We do however issue scholarships to other sometimes marginalized people. These people often lack representation in many contemporary herbal settings. We have also awarded scholarships to people demonstrating financial need whose work focuses on herbalism in under-served communities. While this second group of scholarship participants may have multiple societal advantages we recognize and support the importance of such work. We ask that folks only apply if they have financial need due to the high demand for scholarship assistance. We want to increase access to herbal education for those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to study with us. Scholarships range from $500 to full tuition depending on program, need, and other factors.
Scholarship recipients are often not decided until late January due to our desire to give all interested folks the chance to apply. Please give as much information as you feel necessary to each question. Thank you.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and why you are requesting scholarship consideration
*
Do you currently work in the field of herbalism or related field? (either in a paid or unpaid capacity?) If not, what do you do for work and/or income sources? What are your average hours worked per week? Though we recognize that some folks are unable to work outside the home and we do not penalize for that--for folks who are able we prioritize those who do but whose income does not allow them to otherwise attend classes here
*
Please give some information on your financial status. Because there are many applicants for limited funds we strive to be as fair and equitable as we can. Participants who work full time and have little (if any) spare income for luxuries like dining out, travel, entertainment etc are our priority
*
Do you have goals for this education (personal and professional)? What do you hope to do with the information learned here?
*
How much can you afford to pay for this program without putting yourself at risk? Does receiving a scholarship fully determine whether or not you can attend school? (Depending on each individual's answers we can try to spread the funds around in the most helpful manner.
*
Is there anything else that you feel we should know in order to make a better decision?
