No raw glass edges are acceptable. All other systems must be discussed with the curator of exhibits before a decision is reached.
The gallery space may be temporarily rearranged for community events and/or classes during the invited artist’s scheduled exhibit.
Delivery of Artwork:

Artwork accepted for exhibition and sale will be held for the full period of exhibition as determined by Studio 23.

All reasonable care will be taken with artwork. We strongly suggest that artists insure their work privately for adequate protection in all potential situations.
Liability:
Studio 23 is acting solely as a representative of the artist, and neither it nor its members, employees, or board of directors shall be liable for loss or damage to artwork, storage crates, personal belongings, or other related items on the premises (or exhibited elsewhere within the sole discretion and under the control of Studio 23) due to theft, loss, fire, or destruction by any cause.

Sales:
All sales are consigned at sixty percent (60%) of sale price to the artist and forty percent (40%) of sale price to Studio 23. Tax is collected by Studio 23. The artist should allow a minimum of three weeks beyond close of the exhibit (to allow for processing of all sales) before artist’s commission will be distributed.
If a collector makes an inquiry with Studio 23 about a work after the close of the exhibit and the work is available for purchase, the artist will receive a sixty percent (60%) commission and a forty percent (40%) commission will go to Studio 23.
Layaway:
Studio 23 offers a layaway option for purchasing artwork. Purchasers make a minimum 25% down payment and sign a contract agreeing to make minimum payments of 25% of the total purchase price once a month for the following three months. Once payments are complete, the commission amount will be distributed to the artist.
Return of Artwork:
Artists should plan to pick up unsold artwork the week following the close of exhibition. If that date doesn’t work, the curator of exhibits and the artist will determine a workable date. Artwork shipped to Studio 23 for exhibit must include proper packaging and a return shipping label in order to be returned to the artist.
Artwork that is left at Studio 23 beyond 30 days will be considered a donation to Studio 23.
Hold Harmless Agreement:
The artist agrees to hold Studio 23, its board of directors, staff, and volunteers harmless for damage, theft, or loss of artwork. The artist understands the risk of submitting/exhibiting artwork and accepts it through signing acceptance of the contract offered.
