What is ARTshake?
ARTshake is what happens when you mix artistic disciplines together to create something new and unexpected. We connect artists of opposite and contrasting disciplines to collaborate and respond to eachothers works to create, either live or pre-recorded to present on the night.
HeArt Letters:
With lockdown life being an ever-evolving state of being, HeArt Letters allows opportunity for artists to collaborate and create new work from a distance to then present or exhibit in one larger showcase event at the end of the year. Artists are paired together to collaborate and create new work via any mode of communication that fits, for example, a musician and dancer collaborating and responding to eachother via Zoom, a visual artist responding to pre-recorded spoken word pieces and sent via email or soundcloud, or a visual artist creating one half of a work and then posting to another artist to complete...the combinations of artistic practices are endless! All disciplines are welcome to apply!

We want to hear from you!
Artists will be paid $250 to create the work during lockdown, with an additional $50 to present/perform/exhibit the work in the showcase event at the end of the year, plus ticket sales. Funds from this project can be used to either pay artists directly, or subsidise your work.
While this is a general EOI form, we will open artist submissions every month moving forward to allow artists to apply later in the year.
