A one-time Registration fee is required for all new students or students re-enrolling after a break of more than 3 months. This amount is separate from monthly tuition and must be paid via Zelle (dancetaal@gmail.com) or check/cash at the studio prior to the student's first class.

TAAL Policies, Guidelines & Tuition Agreement
Please review the following school policies carefully. These include tuition, attendance, dress code, behavior, performance, media, and liability. By enrolling, families agree to abide by these policies throughout the academic year.
- - A one-time registration fee applies for new students or those re-enrolling after a 3+ month gap. This fee is due only if the student continues after the free trial class and is non-refundable once paid.
  - Students are officially enrolled once this form and the required payment (registration fee and tuition) are completed.
  - Tuition varies by program, class type, and student level. Final tuition will be confirmed by TAAL after registration review.
  - Tuition is set for the academic year. Kathak and Vocal students are expected to commit to the full year.
  - Kathak and Vocal students take an exam at the end of each level to confirm requirements are met before advancing. Exam fees are separate from tuition and due prior to the exam date. Tuition rates increase at higher levels to reflect the depth of instruction and teacher preparation.
  - Tuition may be paid by Monthly ACH Auto-Draft or Semester Prepayment (Check, Zelle, Cash).
  - Withdrawal policy:
    • Kathak & Vocal: 30-day written notice before the start of the next semester. Otherwise, semester tuition remains due.
    • Bollywood: 30-day written notice before the next billing cycle to avoid being charged for the following month.
  - Students with unpaid balances will not be permitted to attend classes or perform until accounts are cleared.
- - Consistent attendance is required for progress and performance eligibility.
  - No refunds for missed classes. Teachers will make efforts to catch students up but individual make-ups are not guaranteed.
  - If TAAL cancels a class (weather/emergency), a group make-up will be scheduled.
  - Students must arrive on time and be picked up promptly.
  - No unattended students before or after class.
  - Teachers are not available between classes; please email or call for questions. We would be delighted to hear from you.
  - Non-participants are not allowed in classrooms while class is in session.
- - Bollywood: Loose-fitted T-shirt, leggings/yoga pants (no shorts, dresses, skirts, or jeans); hair tied back.
  - Kathak/Classical: Kurta, churidar/leggings/pajama, dupatta, ghungroos; hair tied back in ponytail/braid.
  - Classical dance/music students must bring a notebook and pen to every class.
  - Students not following dress code may be asked to sit out.
  - Water bottles are encouraged; no food, gum, or electronics in classrooms.
  - Food and drinks (clear liquids only) are allowed only in the waiting room. Families are expected to clean up after themselves.
- - Regular performances are scheduled. Participation is based on attendance and preparedness.
  - All intermediate/advanced Kathak/Classical students must perform at least once per academic year.
  - Performance at TAAL’s productions/recitals is mandatory for all students.
  - Students are required to purchase costumes for performances. TAAL has full discretion on costume selection.
  - Recital fees will also be charged for participation.
  - Students may not perform class material elsewhere or join other dance groups/classes without prior written permission.
  - Class material (dances, songs, choreographies) may not be shared, taught, or performed without TAAL’s written permission and acknowledgment.
  - All registrations, private lessons, choreography, and performance requests must go through TAAL administration (not instructors directly). Any exceptions require prior written approval. Violation may result in suspension of services without refund.
  - All photos/videos taken during classes, rehearsals, or performances are property of TAAL and may be used for promotional purposes.
- I/we have read and agree to the above policies of TAAL School of Dance & the Indian Arts (SSJA Investments LLC). I understand that TAAL reserves the right to refuse services to any person who does not support the policies and decisions set forth.
  
  I acknowledge that participation in dance, music, and related activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, accident, or illness. By signing below, I, for myself and my child(ren), and on behalf of my heirs, executors, and assigns, hereby voluntarily assume all such risks and release, waive, and hold harmless TAAL School of Dance & the Indian Arts, SSJA Investments LLC, East Butler Point LLC, their directors, owners, teachers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of participation in any class, rehearsal, performance, event, or related activity, whether occurring on or off TAAL premises. This release applies to claims of ordinary negligence to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  
  In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize TAAL representatives to seek emergency medical treatment for my child(ren) or myself. I understand and agree that all related medical expenses are my sole responsibility.
  
  I acknowledge that participation at TAAL is voluntary, and by signing below I confirm that I understand and accept the risks, responsibilities, and waiver of liability described above.
