Rules for the Colorado Dashiki Fashion Contest

Eligibility

• Participants must be at least 8 years old.
• All participants must register by the specified deadline July 25th

Registration

• Each participant must complete the registration form as a family or individually and provide accurate information.

Attire

• All outfits must prominently feature traditional African Attire/Dashiki designs.
• Participants are encouraged to incorporate creativity and personal style while respecting cultural significance.
• Participants are encouraged to provide own outfits.

Rehearsals

• Participants must attend all scheduled rehearsals.
• Failure to attend rehearsals without prior notice may result in disqualification.

Event Conduct

• Participants must arrive on time for the event and check in with the organizers.
• Professional and respectful behavior is expected at all times.

Voting Process

• Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, adherence to the Dashiki theme, presentation, and overall impact.
• Voting will be open to the public through the official app
• Each voter can cast a vote for their favorite participant.

Use of Media

• Participants must grant permission for their photographs and videos to be used for promotional purposes by the organizers.

Health and Safety

• Participants must adhere to all health and safety guidelines provided by the organizers.
• Any health conditions or special requirements should be communicated to the organizers in advance.

Liability

• Participants participate at their own risk and must agree to waive any claims against the organizers for loss, damage, or injury.

Disqualification

• Participants may be disqualified for non-compliance with rules, misconduct, or any actions that negatively impact the event.

Awards and Prizes

• Winners will be announced at the end of the event.
• Prizes are non-transferable and must be accepted as awarded.

Terms and Conditions:

1. I acknowledge that I have read and understood the rules and regulations of the fashion show.
2. I agree to comply with the instructions provided by the organizers and participate in rehearsals if required.
3. I grant permission for photographs and videos of myself and my outfit to be used for promotional purposes.
4. I understand that participation in the fashion show is voluntary, and I will not hold the organizers responsible for any injuries or damages.
