Adoption Agreement
I the undersigned, in consideration of the mutual commitments outlined in this Agreement and other valuable considerations, with the intention of being legally bound by this Agreement, hereby agree to the following terms:
I agree to a non-refundable Adoption Fee. This fee helps cover the ongoing expenses associated with rescuing kittens, such as food, veterinary care etc. As an 501 (c) 3 Charitable Organization additional donations are always welcome. I understand that all fees/donations are NON-REFUNDABLE.
I agree to have the above-listed kitten(s) sterilized by a licensed veterinarian by the age of 6 months. The adopter acknowledges responsibility for all costs associated with spaying/neutering. Low-cost spay/neuter services are available through Brandywine SPCA: https://bvspca.org/schedule-an-appointment
I will not declaw this kitten. Declawing is not simply a nail trim; it involves the surgical removal of the first bone of each toe, which is equivalent to amputating a human finger at the last joint. Declawing is a painful and unnecessary procedure that can lead to significant physical and psychological issues for cats.
