Debonair Dachshunds, based in the Fleurieu Peninsula Region, endeavors to raise confident, healthy, beloved purebred miniature dachshund puppies with outstanding temperaments. Applying allows us to understand further about what kind of environment and lifestyle you can provide a miniature dachshund and whether or not we are the breeders for you.
Our puppies are bright and enthusiastic learners, having begun initial response, early neurological stimulation, crate, desensitization, positive reinforcement, and toilet training at a young age. We breed for health first and foremost, alongside breed conformation and temperament. Puppies are born and nurtured in our home under the strictest care and hygienic requirements.
Our breeding practices are centered around current veterinary medicine practices and reproductive health, all decisions backed by broad peer-reviewed research and under the guidance of experienced, reputable veterinarians and other well-versed and respected breeders. Aiming to go above and beyond the bare minimum standards set by the South Australian law / RSPCA. We aim to continuously evolve, improving quality and are making decisions to improve and reassess our breeding program.

- Dam and Sire, both DNA & PRA tested for breed-specific diseases, are selected for health, conformation, and an excellent temperament.

- We provide lifelong breeder support should you require any assistance regarding your puppy's care. We are genuinely invested in our fur family well beyond adoption and would love to receive updates throughout their lifetime.
Price information
Prices vary greatly based on genetic composition, and if your application is successful, you will receive a formal quote and an estimate of waiting time. (Pet puppies include sterilization unless specified.)

Adoption Process
Filling out this application does not require you to commit to a puppy, although it is the essential first step in being considered for our waitlist. Upon notifying you of a successful application, you will receive a formal quote and be added to our waitlist. When a puppy of your preference (and specified date if applicable) is available, we will notify you and organize for a meet and greet.
A 25% deposit is required for a puppy to be put on hold for you. Our meet and greets will be held once puppies have a C-3 vaccine in their system, either at our veterinary clinic or at a location nearby. Before meeting your puppy in person, we offer video calls, photo updates, and emailed updates.
Puppies will go home only when deemed of an appropriate stage and development this will non-negotiably be after eight weeks of age.
Waitlist Information
Wait times for our puppies may vary depending on your application and preferences. We carefully consider the needs of each puppy to ensure they are matched with the most suitable homes.
For families interested in selecting their pick of the litter within a specific timeframe, we offer a VIP waitlist. This option requires a $500 non-refundable deposit, providing the privilege of first selection and priority access.
Please note that we exclusively breed miniature long-haired pups, no other varieties.
