Program Hosting & Reception Interest Form
  • Each year, 32 fellows from across Washington spend six months and 11 weekends traveling the state, learning directly from communities, leaders, organizers, and institutions shaping our civic life. Together, they explore how democracy works in practice and how to strengthen it for the future.

This experience is made possible by our alumni, partners, and friends who open their homes, share meals, and create space for connection after long days of learning. These conversations over dinner, in a spare bed, or at a welcoming gathering are where relationships deepen, and the WAIDF community truly shines.

As we plan our 2026 Fellowship year, we’d love to know if you’re interested in supporting a weekend visit by:

    • Hosting one or more fellows in your home, and/or
    • Hosting or co-hosting a casual Friday or Saturday evening reception for fellows to connect and unwind.

Please review the 2026 Programming Calendar and share how you might like to be involved. Every offer, big or small, helps keep this program accessible, affordable, and rooted in community.
