Travel Ball is a commitment. The spring/summer season runs from March through August. By end of season, we aim to have prepared your player for their next level.
The commitment includes:
- Teams practice twice per week; 90-minutes per practice session. Schedule is TBD.
- One team-bonding activity per month. May include dinner (pizza or burgers) as a family after practice, beach days, BBQ, bowling, etc.
- Monthly dues will be $170 payable at the beginning of each month - this covers gym rent and entry to two competitive events. If a player misses a practice(s) or event(s), dues must be paid and do not roll over.
- One-time costs include the player’s uniform pack (approx. $150), which includes a reversible uniform, shooting shirt and backpack; player registration with AAU (approx. $20 covers through Sept 2026).
- Parents are responsible for their player’s transportation to/from practices and events. Note that event coordinators charge admission. In 2025, admission fees for spectators ranged between $15-$20.
WARNING OF POSSIBLE SERIOUS, CATASTROPHIC, AND PERHAPS FATAL INJURY RESULTING FROM ATHLETICS OR OTHER EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES.
By its very nature, athletics and physically demanding extracurricular activities, including tryouts, may put players in situations in which SERIOUS, CATASTROPHIC and perhaps FATAL ACCIDENTS may occur resulting in death, paraplegia, quadriplegia, and other very serious permanent physical impairments as a result of such participation. Some of the injuries/illnesses which may result from participating in these activities include but are not limited to the following: (Unconsciousness, Paralysis, Loss of eyesight, Communicable diseases, Neck and Spinal injuries, Death, Brain damage, Internal organ injury, Sprains/strains, Fractured bones).
In consideration of the mutual understandings, promises made herein and other valuable consideration, the Player's parent/guardian agrees as follows:
I. I understand and acknowledge that participation in the activities offered by THE DEN BASKETBALL CLUB by my child is completely voluntary and as such is not required. I understand and acknowledge that in order to participate in these activities, I/we and my/our child agree to assume full responsibility for any and all potential risks that may be associated with participation in such activities.
II. I warrant that my child is physically fit and in a condition that will allow my child to participate fully in the activities offered by THE DEN BASKETBALL CLUB. I maintain medical insurance that covers my child for accidents and illnesses while my child is participating in the activities. I understand that THE DEN BASKETBALL CLUB has not made, nor will make, any investigation into my physical fitness or ability to participate in the activities, and THE DEN BASKETBALL CLUB is relying on my warranty of my child's physical condition. I assume full responsibility for payment of medical expenses not covered by my insurance incurred as a result of my participation in the activities.
III. I hereby grant permission for the individuals named on this registration form to be photographed and/or videotaped during club activities. I hereby grant permission to the rights of our image, recorded audio and video without payment or any other consideration. I understand that my image may be edited, copied, exhibited, published or distributed and waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of my image or recording. I also understand that this material may be used in diverse educational settings within an unrestricted geographic area. Photographic, audio or video recordings may be used for the following purposes: Official Websites • Social Media Platforms • Advertisements • Training Videos • Educational Settings. I will be consulted about the use of the photographs or video recording for any purpose other than those listed above. There is no time limit on the validity of this Agreement nor is there any geographic limitation on where these materials may be distributed. This release applies to photographic, audio or video recordings collected as part of the sessions listed on this document only.
IV. It is my express intent that this Agreement shall bind the members of my family and spouse (if any), my estate, heirs, administrators, assigns, and personal representatives. I agree that this Agreement and any claim arising from my/my child’s participation in the Activity shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws provision. The courts in Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County, Riverside County shall be the forum for any lawsuits arising from the Activity or incident to this Agreement. The terms of this Agreement shall be severable, such that if a court of competent jurisdiction holds any term to be illegal or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining portions of shall not be affected thereby.
V. For and in consideration of permitting the above named Player to participate in the activity(ies) described above, the undersigned does for him/herself, his/her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, hereby voluntarily release, waive, discharge, and relinquish any action or cause of action which may hereafter arise for himself/herself and agrees that under no circumstances will he/she or his/her heirs, executors administrators and assigns prosecute any claim for personal injury, bodily injury, property damage, or wrongful death against THE DEN BASKETBALL CLUB, any of its officers, agents, employees or volunteers for any said causes of action which should arise due to the negligence of any of said persons. In the event of such prosecution or claim, I/we hereby indemnify and hold harmless THE DEN BASKETBALL CLUB from any and all claims or causes of action presented for personal injury, property damage or wrongful death.
By signing below, I acknowledge that I have completely read and fully understand and willingly enter into this Agreement.
