How are artists involed with DAC?
In our opinion, our community is the body of the DAC and our artists are the soul. First things first, you should know our mission. The Dewey Artist Collaboration is a community arts non-profit dedicated to enhancing the careers of our artists by providing valuable resources and opportunity, while encouraging them to give back to our community through our DAC Programs that provide creative community development and cultural enrichment to Sussex County and beyond. This organization was founded on the idea that what you put in, you get out. We create opportunity for our artists through career development and unique presentation opportunities that you have the choice to pay for or volunteer your time for. The more involved you are with us, the more you will get out of our relationship. The best part is, you can be as involved or uninvolved as you like.
How are application process works...
When you fill out an application, our Exectuive Director reviews your application and then sends you a Welcome Packet! With the welcome packet, we send you another form to fill out to see what you're interested in doing. We then will get in touch with you to discuss how you want to fit into our family. It's that easy. We welcome everyone to the DAC, regardless of your skill level, age, background, or medium! We do want to let you know that the DAC does not endorse artist sales (we do not have a gallery and do not sell your work) because we are a non-profit and that is a for-profit venture. We are all about giving you resources, opportunities, and career building so you can facilitate your own success!
