This scholarship is established in loving memory of Federico Suarez, Jr. a proud member of the DHJ Class of 1972, whose life was deeply impacted by cancer. A staunch supporter of education, he believed strongly in the power of learning to transform lives and communities.
In honor of his strength, compassion, and enduring legacy, the family is proud to offer a $3,000 scholarship to support a graduating senior who plans to pursue a career in medicine. It is our hope that this award will help inspire and empower future healthcare professionals dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
The Federico Suarez, Jr. Scholarship is a $3,000 non-recurring scholarship to a Diamond Hill Jarvis High School Senior. Applicants must be graduating seniors in the 2025-2026 school year. Candidates must submit all required application material and information prior to the scholarship application deadline. The scholarship will be awarded based on academic excellence, essay, and attendance.
Applicant Eligibility Requirements
1. Must plan to attend a 2 or 4 year college or vocational school in the fall semester 2026.
2. GPA of 3.0 or higher.
DEADLINE
The Diamnd Hill Jarvis Heritage Foundation Scholarship Committee must receive completed applications by 5pm April 10, 2026.

- Essay "Tell us your story. What unique opportunities or challenges have you experienced throughout your high school career that shaped who you are today and will shape the kind of healthcare professional you hope to become?"
- Copy of High School Transcript
- Two letters of recommendation from either a teacher, conselor, coach, employer, or clergy. We will send to them in a separate email. No family members.
