  • Dog Rescue Newcastle's Adoption Process

  • 1. Application Review and Meet & Greet:

    • The foster carer will review applications and arrange a meet and greet with suitable applicants.

    2. Home Inspection:

    • A home inspection will be conducted if the meet and greet is successful.

    3. Adoption Fee and Trial Period:

    • If your home passes inspection, the adoption fee is paid, paperwork is completed, and a two-week trial period begins.

    4. Finalisation:

    • Upon successful completion of the trial period, Newcastle Dog Rescue will submit the necessary paperwork to the Local Council for processing.

    Adoption Fee Includes:

    • Mandatory desexing*
    • Microchip
    • First Vaccination
    • Vet check
    • Flea and worm treatment

    Submitting this form does not guarantee adoption, nor does it obligate you to adopt.

    *Kittens under four months old may not yet be desexed. This will need to be scheduled with one of our approved vets after the adoption process is finalised.
