This form is designed to give details regarding the treatment of Microblading, so that an informed decision can be made on whether or not to undergo the procedure. Microblading is the process of inserting pigment into the dermal layer of the skin and is a form of tattooing. It is a semi-permanent makeup treatment that is a two step process and will require two appointments to complete in order to maximise pigment retention and the final result. You must be at least 18 years old to be tattooed or receive a semi-permanent make up treatment in the UK, I will not tattoo anyone under the age of 18.
During the treatment, cross contamination guidelines are strictly adhered to. Brand new, high quality disposable tools are used for each client and any instruments that enter the skin, or come into contact with bodily fluids, are disposed of after use.
Initially the colour of the brows will appear much more vibrant or darker compared with the end result. Usually within 7-10 days the colour will fade 40-50%, soften and look more natural. The pigment used is semi-permanent therefore will fade over time. It is likely the brows will need to be touched up within 6 months (oily skin type) to 2 years (normal-dry skin types). Different factors will affect pigment retention. For those with less natural hair or oily skin types, manual shading may be recommended alongside the microblading treatment to create a fuller look and encourage better pigment retention.
