    CALLING all parents and students, registration for the Term 4 in Year 2024 Dharma School intake is now open for Primary School Students of Primary 1-2.

    Term 4, starting on 14 Sept 2024

    Time: Saturday, 2 pm to 3.30 pm

    Material Fees: S$30 per term. (No school fees)

    Venue: 137 Sims Avenue S(387459)

     

    **Trial lesson is available.

  • Aim: For children to start the journeys to understand and learn about the Triple Gems; Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.

    Objectives:

    - To plant the seeds of Buddha's teachings and apply the wisdom of Buddha in their daily lives. 

    - To provide an opportunity to connect with Dharma at an early age, giving them the keys to success and happiness in life.

    - To develop the child’s inner wisdom and empower the child to make wise choices and decisions in life.

    - To nurture them into kinder, more loving, compassionate and happy individuals capable of embracing all that life has to offer.

    Program: Short Buddha stories based on Buddha's wholesome values and teachings.  Activities including singing, dancing, games, drawing, arts & crafts and simple Buddhism recitation.

    We are looking for friendly and reliable part-time school teachers to join our Children Dharma School on the weekend. If you’re a motivated, kids-loving and passionate professional with a talent for teaching, then we’re interested in you. In this position, you will be responsible for a range of duties including developing lesson plans, responding to issues, and addressing students’ needs.

    As a Dharma school teacher, you will demonstrate Dharma knowledge, teaching abilities, deep love and patience with children. Our ideal candidate is an active Buddhist, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. He/she is a team player, is committed and has a willing and open-minded attitude.

    Dharma School (English & Chinese) Teacher Responsibilities:
     Create lesson plans in line with the Buddhist values and teachings.
     Prepare and oversee weekly weekend Dharma lessons.
     Develop educational plays, songs, stories and skits.
     Attend monthly meetings with all assigned teachers and team members
     Respond to all Children Dharma School related issues and offer guidance.
     Ensure that the designated area of the school is clean and presentable.
     Oversee the attendance record.


    中、英佛法课程老师责任:
     规划具备佛教价值和佛法的教学内容。
     准备和进行每周佛法课程。
     设计教学活动:游戏、歌曲故事和短剧等。
     与其他老师和负责人员参加每月会议。
     负责一切儿童佛学班相关问题并提供协助。
     确保课室环境清洁卫生。
     点名。

    Dharma School (English & Chinese) Teacher Requirements:
     Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent qualifications would be an added advantage.
     Preferably a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
     Proven experience as an educator would be an added advantage.
     Good understanding of planning and developing Dharma lesson plans.
     Must be available to teach classes on Saturdays/Sundays.
     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
