Términos y Condiciones

Lea atentamente y detenidamente cada número que tiene como objetivo explicar los términos y condiciones de nuestra escuela.

1. La Escuela Mayagüezana de Ballet, Artes y Educación, Eugenio María de Hostos (EMBAE) No discrimina por razón de raza, discapacidad, religión, orientación sexual, salud, origen étnico, credo, edad u origen nacional.

2. Los padres o familiares del estudiante NO pueden estar dentro del salón de clases a menos que sea una clase de observación o acordado con el maestro y director de la escuela.

3. El pertenecer a EMBAE no les garantiza participar de los eventos artísticos programados.

4. EMBAE NO es un club social, es una organización sin fines de lucro establecida para educar en el campo de las Artes Escénicas. Por tanto, debemos guardar orden y respeto en las clases, ensayos y actividades. De no ser así, el estudiante podrá ser expulsado del lugar de ensayo, clase o actividad programada.

5. Es importante saber que la disciplina comienza con el uso correcto del uniforme. Es por esto que debe utilizar los uniformes de la escuela según sea asignado, de acuerdo a la clase/nivel. Se prohibe el uso de mahones y accesorios para las clases de ballet. Las féminas deberán usar medias con su leotardo y recogerse el pelo en una cebolla para sus clases de ballet. Maquillaje sencillo es permitido solamente en los niveles intermedios y avanzados. De no utilizar los uniformes se harán señalamientos. Al segundo señalamiento se multará con la cantidad de $2.00, al tercer $5.00 y al cuarto señalamiento la estudiante no podrá entrar a clase.

6. Todo participante deberá ser responsable del cuidado de cada vestuario prestado, de alguno romperse, el participante debe costear los materiales y costura del mismo. Los vestuarios y/o utilerías prestadas y/o arrendadas no pueden ser destruidas, robadas y/o utilizadas para otros fines.

7. Para su seguridad cada estudiante debe tener zapatillas o zapatos de baile según requiera la clase correspondiente. Calzado desgastado o roto no se permitirá en la clase (ejemplo: puntas muertas).

8. Por ningún concepto los estudiantes pueden enseñar las coreografías o música a personas ajenas a la organización. Eso se llama plagio y estamos amparados bajo la ley #96 de Registro a la propiedad intelectual creada el 15 de julio de 1988.

9. Si algún participante de nuestra organización es invitado a participar en alguna actividad artística representando a EMBAE deberá informar al director y este debe aprobarlo. (Llamase talent show, clases de baile, escuela, viajes, audiciones, etc.)

10. EMBAE, su junta de directores, su equipo de trabajo y ninguno de los auspiciadores son responsables de cualquier accidente que ocurra por incumplimiento de reglas y quedan eximidos de cualquier demanda o pleito legal. Sugerimos un seguro de accidentes por cualquier eventualidad.

11. Si algún participante decide abandonar la organización, deberá entregar todo lo que pertenezca a la misma y cumplir con el acuerdo de matricula.

12. Su participación en nuestra organización autoriza a EMBAE, WBT Company y a su personal a tomar fotos y videos de los estudiantes, clases y presentaciones con fines publicitarios y como evidencia de gestión comunitaria, artística y cultural en las redes sociales, página de internet, prensa escrita, televisión, entre otras fuentes de publicidad.

13. Toda información suministrada a EMBAE será completamente confidencial y para uso administrativo.

14. El acuerdo de matrícula con la escuela debe cumplirse incluso si el estudiante decide irse de la escuela. Esto incluye completar los pagos, según los términos y el tiempo acordado.

15. Es requerido estar en el chat de WhatsApp de la escuela para mantenerse informado de noticias, eventos, reuniones, cambios de horario, etc.  Si el estudiante es menor  de 18 años, quien debe estar es el padre. Se permitirá añadir al estudiante pero la responsabilidad mantenerse al día es el padre o tutor legal.

16. Todos estos términos y condiciones están sujetos a cambios sin previo aviso.

Terms and Conditions

Please read thoroughly and carefully the following items intended to explain the terms and conditions of our school.

1.The Escuela Mayaguezana de Ballet, Artes y Educación, Eugenio Maria de Hostos (EMBAE), does not discriminate on the basis of race, disability, religion, sexual orientation, health, ethnic origin, creed, age or national origin.

2. Parents or relatives of the student may NOT enter the classroom unless it is an exhibition class or it has been previously authorized by the teacher and/or school director.

3. Being registered as an EMBAE student does not guarantee participation in the scheduled artistic events and performances.

4. EMBAE is NOT a social club, it is a non-profit organization established to provide high quality education in the field of the Performing Arts. Therefore, order must be kept at all times and students as well as their friends adn family members must be respectful at all times within our premises, in classes, rehearsals and activities/events. Failure to do so may result in the student being expelled from the rehearsal venue, class, or scheduled activity.

5. It is important to understand that a student's discipline starts with the use of their uniform. School uniforms must be worned as assigned, according to the class/level. NO jeans or accessories are allowed for ballet lessons. Female students must wear tight with their leotard and must have their hair tied in a bun for ballet classes. Simple makeup is allowed for intermediate to advanced levels. Failure to comply with the uniform policy established herein will result in a verbal warning. On the second warning, the student will be fined $2.00, on the third, $5.00 and on the fourth warning, the student will not be able to participate in class.

6. All participants are responsible for the costumes and props lent to them by the school. If these are broken or damaged the participant will need to cover all costs associated with its repair. Costumes and props must not be destroyed, stollen and/or used for any other purpose than its intended use.

7. For the safety of our students, appropriate dance shoes must be worn as required by the corresponding class. Damaged or worn out dance shoes will not be allowed in class (for example: dead pointe shoes).

8. Under no circumstances can students teach the choreography or music to individuals outside of the organization. This is considered plagiarism and EMBAE and its staff are protected under Law #96 of Registration of Intellectual Property created on July 15, 1988.

9. If any student of our organization is invited to participate in artistic activities outside of EMBAE, whether it is representing EMBAE or as an individual, they must inform and request consent and approval of the director. (This includes and is not limited to: talent shows, dance videos, dance classes, trips, auditions, and more)

10. EMBAE, its board of directors, its workforce and sponsors are NOT responsible for any accident that occurs due to non-compliance to the rules established by the school and are exempt from any lawsuit or legal action. We strongly recommend enrolling under EMBAE's accident insurance policy to ensure coverage in the case of any eventuality.

11. If any participant decides to leave the organization, they must deliver everything that belongs to the organization and comply with the registration agreement.

12. Your participation in our organization authorizes EMBAE, WBT Company and their staff to take photos and videos of the students, classes and presentations for publicity purposes and to use these as evidence of community, artistic and cultural outreach in social media, websites, written press, television, among other sources of advertising.

13. All information provided to EMBAE will be completely confidential and used for administrative purposes only.

14. The agreement signed with the school during registration must be fulfilled even if the student decides to leave the school. This includes fulfillment of all payments as agreed.

15. It is required to be part of the school’s WhatsApp chat in order to stay informed about news, events, meetings, schedule changes, and more.  If the student is under 18 years old, the parent must be the one in the group. The student may be added, but the responsibility to stay up to date lies with the parent or legal guardian.

16. All these terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice.

PREGUNTAS MÉDICAS-DIETÉTICAS / MEDICAL-DIETARY QUESTIONS

POLÍTICA DE MATRÍCULA, PAGOS Y COMPROMISOS FINANCIEROS
 

Con el fin de garantizar la estabilidad económica, operativa y administrativa de nuestra institución, EMBAE establece la siguiente política financiera para todos los estudiantes matriculados. Esta política es de cumplimiento obligatorio para todos los padres, tutores o estudiantes mayores de edad.

1. Matrícula
   · El costo de matrícula es de $50.00 por semestre por estudiante.

   · Si el pago de matrícula se realiza de forma anual (dos semestres), se aplicará una tarifa especial de $80.00 por todo el año académico, representando un ahorro para la familia.

   · La matrícula es no reembolsable, independientemente de si el estudiante continúa o no con sus estudios durante el semestre o año académico.

2. Mensualidades
   · El costo mensual dependerá de la cantidad de clases inscritas o del paquete/oferta seleccionada por el estudiante al momento de la matrícula.

   · Todos los paquetes y clases individuales tienen un costo establecido en nuestra tabla oficial de tarifas, disponible en recepción o por solicitud escrita.

   · Una vez inscrito, el estudiante adquiere un compromiso económico con la institución, que deberá honrarse venga o no a clases, por la razón que sea.

EMBAE planifica y destina sus recursos (incluyendo docentes, espacios y programación) en función de los compromisos de pago realizados por los estudiantes.

3. Fechas de Pago
   · Las mensualidades deberán ser pagadas del 1 al 15 de cada mes, sin excepción.

   · Todo pago recibido luego del 15 de cada mes incurrirá en una multa de recargo del 15% del monto adeudado.

   · Si el día 15 cae en fin de semana o feriado, la fecha límite se mantiene sin cambios, pudiendo el pago hacerse por ATH Móvil o cualquier medio digital autorizado por EMBAE.

4. Métodos de Pago
   · Se aceptan pagos en efectivo, ATH Móvil, cheque a nombre de EMBAE (sujeto a verificación de fondos), y transferencias electrónicas.

   · Todo pago deberá acompañarse de nombre completo del estudiante y mes al que corresponde.

   · No se aceptan pagos en cuotas dentro del mes sin autorización expresa y previa de la administración.

 

5. Incumplimiento de Pago
   · EMBAE se reserva el derecho de denegar la participación del estudiante en clases, presentaciones, evaluaciones o actividades especiales en caso de morosidad.

   · En caso de deudas acumuladas por más de dos meses, se referirá el caso a procesos administrativos o legales de cobro, y el estudiante podría ser dado de baja automáticamente.

   · La reincorporación a clases estará sujeta a disponibilidad y al saldo saldado en su totalidad, incluyendo multas acumuladas.

 

6. Responsabilidad Financiera
   · La persona que firma la matrícula es quien asume toda responsabilidad financiera ante EMBAE.

   · Es deber del padre, madre o tutor legal mantenerse al día con los compromisos adquiridos. No se aceptarán reclamaciones basadas en desconocimiento de esta política, la cual forma parte del acuerdo de matrícula anual.

 

7. Revisión y Aceptación
   · Esta política puede ser revisada anualmente por la Junta Directiva de EMBAE.

   · Todo estudiante y su representante legal deberán firmar un documento de aceptación de esta política al momento de matrícula o reinscripción.

ENROLLMENT, PAYMENT, AND FINANCIAL COMMITMENT POLICY

Escuela Mayagüezana de Ballet, Artes y Educación (EMBAE)
In order to ensure the financial, operational, and administrative stability of our institution, EMBAE establishes the following financial policy for all enrolled students. This policy is mandatory for all parents, guardians, or adult students.

1. Enrollment
   • The enrollment fee is $50.00 per student, per semester.
   • If enrollment is paid annually (covering two semesters), a special rate of $80.00 will be applied for the full academic year, offering a savings for the family.
   • The enrollment fee is non-refundable, regardless of whether the student continues or discontinues their studies during the semester or academic year.

2. Monthly Tuition
   • The monthly tuition amount depends on the number of classes enrolled in or the selected package/offer at the time of enrollment.
   • All packages and individual classes have a set cost listed in our official rate sheet, available at the front desk or upon written request.
   • Once enrolled, the student enters into a financial commitment with the institution, which must be honored whether or not the student attends classes, for any reason.
EMBAE allocates its resources (including faculty, facilities, and programming) based on the payment commitments made by students.

3. Payment Dates
• Monthly tuition must be paid between the 1st and the 15th of each month, without exception.
• Any payment made after the 15th will incur a 15% late fee on the amount due.
• If the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday, the deadline remains unchanged. Payments may be made via ATH Móvil or any other digital method authorized by EMBAE.

4. Payment Methods
   • We accept payments in cash, ATH Móvil, checks made payable to EMBAE (subject to fund verification), and electronic transfers.
   • All payments must include the student’s full name and the month being paid.
   • Partial payments within the month are not allowed without prior express authorization from the administration.

5. Non-Payment
   • EMBAE reserves the right to deny student participation in classes, performances, assessments, or special activities in the event of non-payment.
   • If a balance is overdue for more than two months, the case will be referred to administrative or legal collection processes, and the student may be automatically withdrawn.
   • Re-enrollment in classes will be subject to space availability and full payment of the outstanding balance, including all accumulated fees.

6. Financial Responsibility
   • The person who signs the enrollment form assumes full financial responsibility to EMBAE.
   • It is the duty of the parent or legal guardian to remain current with all financial obligations. Claims of ignorance of this policy will not be accepted, as it is part of the annual enrollment agreement.

7. Review and Acceptance
   • This policy may be reviewed annually by EMBAE’s Board of Directors.
   • All students and their legal guardians must sign a document accepting this policy at the time of enrollment or re-enrollment.

Nuestros programas se centran en las habilidades fundamentales, las habilidades socioemocionales y el desarrollo integral de los participantes de tres años en adelante. Pedimos a todas las familias que realicen su pago de matrícula por la cantidad de $50.00 POR SEMESTRE, pero si pagas la matricula del año completo, antes de finalizar la casa abierta, se aplicará un descuento y el costo será $80.00  / Our programs focus on foundational skills, social-emotional skills, and holistic development for participants ages three and up. We ask all families to make their tuition payment in the amount of $50.00 PER SEMESTER, but if you pay the full year's tuition, before the end of the open house, a discount will be applied and the cost will be $80.00
