Lea atentamente y detenidamente cada número que tiene como objetivo explicar los términos y condiciones de nuestra escuela.

1. La Escuela Mayagüezana de Ballet y Artes Escénicas, Eugenio María de Hostos (EMBAE) No discrimina por razón de raza, discapacidad, religión, orientación sexual, salud, origen étnico, credo, edad u origen nacional.

2. Toda persona que entre a nuestras instalaciones debe pasar por el protocolo de salubridad impuesta por el COVID-19. El uso de mascarillas es obligatorio sin excepción alguna.

3. Los padres o familiares del estudiante NO pueden estar dentro del salón de clases a menos que sea una clase de observación o acordado con el maestro y director de la escuela.

4. El pertenecer a EMBAE no les garantiza participar de los eventos artísticos programados.

5. EMBAE NO es un club social, es una organización sin fines de lucro establecida para educar en el campo de las Artes Escénicas. Por tanto, debemos guardar orden y respeto en las clases, ensayos y actividades. De no ser así, el estudiante podrá ser expulsado del lugar de ensayo, clase o actividad programada.

6. Es importante saber que la disciplina comienza con el uso correcto del uniforme. Es por esto que debe utilizar los uniformes de la escuela según sea asignado, de acuerdo a la clase/nivel. Se prohibe el uso de mahones y accesorios para las clases de ballet. Las féminas deberán usar medias con su leotardo y recogerse el pelo en una cebolla para sus clases de ballet. Maquillaje sencillo es permitido solamente en los niveles intermedios y avanzados. De no utilizar los uniformes se harán señalamientos. Al segundo señalamiento se multará con la cantidad de $2.00, al tercer $5.00 y al cuarto señalamiento la estudiante no podrá entrar a clase.

7. Todo participante deberá ser responsable del cuidado de cada vestuario prestado, de alguno romperse, el participante debe costear los materiales y costura del mismo. Los vestuarios y/o utilerías prestadas y/o arrendadas no pueden ser destruidas, robadas y/o utilizadas para otros fines.

8. Para su seguridad cada estudiante debe tener zapatillas o zapatos de baile según requiera la clase correspondiente. Calzado desgastado o roto no se permitirá en la clase (ejemplo: puntas muertas).

9. Por ningún concepto los estudiantes pueden enseñar las coreografías o música a personas ajenas a la organización. Eso se llama plagio y estamos amparados bajo la ley #96 de Registro a la propiedad intelectual creada el 15 de julio de 1988.

10. Si algún participante de nuestra organización es invitado a participar en alguna actividad artística representando a EMBAE deberá informar al director y este debe aprobarlo. (Llamase talent show, clases de baile, escuela, viajes, audiciones, etc.)

11. EMBAE, su junta de directores, su equipo de trabajo y ninguno de los auspiciadores son responsables de cualquier accidente que ocurra por incumplimiento de reglas y quedan eximidos de cualquier demanda o pleito legal. Sugerimos un seguro de accidentes por cualquier eventualidad.

12. Si algún participante decide abandonar la organización, deberá entregar todo lo que pertenezca a la misma y cumplir con el acuerdo de matricula.

13. Su participación en nuestra organización autoriza a EMBAE, WBT Company y a su personal a tomar fotos y videos de los estudiantes, clases y presentaciones con fines publicitarios y como evidencia de gestión comunitaria, artística y cultural en las redes sociales, página de internet, prensa escrita, televisión, entre otras fuentes de publicidad.

14. Toda información suministrada a EMBAE será completamente confidencial y para uso administrativo.

15. El acuerdo de matrícula con la escuela debe cumplirse incluso si el estudiante decide irse de la escuela. Esto incluye completar los pagos, según los términos y el tiempo acordado.

16. Todos estos términos y condiciones están sujetos a cambios sin previo aviso.

Terms and Conditions

Please read thoroughly and carefully the following items intended to explain the terms and conditions of our school.

1.The Escuela Mayaguezana de Ballet y Artes Escenicas, Eugenio Maria de Hostos (EMBAE), does not discriminate on the basis of race, disability, religion, sexual orientation, health, ethnic origin, creed, age or national origin.

2. Any person who enters our facilities must follow the health protocol established by the school to prevent COVID-19. The use of masks is mandatory without exception.

3. Parents or relatives of the student may NOT enter the classroom unless it is an exhibition class or it has been previously authorized by the teacher and/or school director.

4. Being registered as an EMBAE student does not guarantee participation in the scheduled artistic events and performances.

5. EMBAE is NOT a social club, it is a non-profit organization established to provide high quality education in the field of the Performing Arts. Therefore, order must be kept at all times and students as well as their friends adn family members must be respectful at all times within our premises, in classes, rehearsals and activities/events. Failure to do so may result in the student being expelled from the rehearsal venue, class, or scheduled activity.

6. It is important to understand that a student's discipline starts with the use of their uniform. School uniforms must be worned as assigned, according to the class/level. NO jeans or accessories are allowed for ballet lessons. Female students must wear tight with their leotard and must have their hair tied in a bun for ballet classes. Simple makeup is allowed for intermediate to advanced levels. Failure to comply with the uniform policy established herein will result in a verbal warning. On the second warning, the student will be fined $2.00, on the third, $5.00 and on the fourth warning, the student will not be able to participate in class.

7. All participants are responsible for the costumes and props lent to them by the school. If these are broken or damaged the participant will need to cover all costs associated with its repair. Costumes and props must not be destroyed, stollen and/or used for any other purpose than its intended use.

8. For the safety of our students, appropriate dance shoes must be worn as required by the corresponding class. Damaged or worn out dance shoes will not be allowed in class (for example: dead pointe shoes).

9. Under no circumstances can students teach the choreography or music to individuals outside of the organization. This is considered plagiarism and EMBAE and its staff are protected under Law #96 of Registration of Intellectual Property created on July 15, 1988.

10. If any student of our organization is invited to participate in artistic activities outside of EMBAE, whether it is representing EMBAE or as an individual, they must inform and request consent and approval of the director. (This includes and is not limited to: talent shows, dance videos, dance classes, trips, auditions, and more)

11. EMBAE, its board of directors, its workforce and sponsors are NOT responsible for any accident that occurs due to non-compliance to the rules established by the school and are exempt from any lawsuit or legal action. We strongly recommend enrolling under EMBAE's accident insurance policy to ensure coverage in the case of any eventuality.

12. If any participant decides to leave the organization, they must deliver everything that belongs to the organization and comply with the registration agreement.

13. Your participation in our organization authorizes EMBAE, WBT Company and their staff to take photos and videos of the students, classes and presentations for publicity purposes and to use these as evidence of community, artistic and cultural outreach in social media, websites, written press, television, among other sources of advertising.

14. All information provided to EMBAE will be completely confidential and used for administrative purposes only.

15. The agreement signed with the school during registration must be fulfilled even if the student decides to leave the school. This includes fulfillment of all payments as agreed.

16. All these terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice.

Nuestros programas se centran en las habilidades fundamentales, las habilidades socioemocionales y el desarrollo integral de los participantes de tres años en adelante. Pedimos a todas las familias que realicen su pago de matrícula por la cantidad de $50.00 POR SEMESTRE, pero si pagas la matricula del año completo, antes de finalizar la casa abierta, se aplicará un descuento y el costo será $80.00  / Our programs focus on foundational skills, social-emotional skills, and holistic development for participants ages three and up. We ask all families to make their tuition payment in the amount of $50.00 PER SEMESTER, but if you pay the full year's tuition, before the end of the open house, a discount will be applied and the cost will be $80.00
