About the 2026 Florida Pediatric EMS Symposium:

Children who require emergency care have unique needs, especially when emergencies are serious or life-threatening. Access to optimal emergency care for children is affected by the knowledge and skill level of the responding EMS personnel. This course is designed to educate EMS professionals on how to assess a pediatric patient in the field. Our one-day robust program includes both didactic lectures and hands-on skills stations.

Objectives:
- Apply the latest evidence-based guidelines in pediatric resuscitation.
- Perform key pediatric emergency skills and procedures in simulated or clinical scenarios.
- Demonstrate effective teamwork and communication during pediatric emergency care.
- Implement techniques that promote comfort, safety, and family-centered care for pediatric patients.
- Describe and evaluate emerging topics and best practices in pediatric readiness.
Registration fees: $95 (includes breakfast and lunch)

A limited number of registration Scholarships from FEMSC are available for Rural Counties. Please contact dbennett@emlrc.org if interested.
