ESPOSAS MILITARES HISPANAS USA ARMED FORCES

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION 2024
Esposas Militares Hispanas USA is happy to announce our eight scholarship for Military/Veteran Spouses and military/Veteran children.

Applications are open to Military/Veteran Spouses/Children that are planning to attend Junior college or University; as well as current college and university students. Scholarship is also valid for certifications and licenses. Military Children should be in 12th grade of High School to apply and should be military/veterans daughters/sons.

We will be offering four (4) Scholarships of $500 each.

Please complete all sections of the application. All applications must be submitted via online no later than November 1st 2024 - 12:00am

Applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges (“the Panel”) chosen by the EsposasMilitares Hispanas USA Armed Forces. All names will be removed from applications and the Panel will receive applications with applicant #’s.
The Panel will use a point based rubric to assess each application.
The point based rubric includes points for University/College GPA (if applicable), Extracurricular Activities, Community Service, and Essays submitted. In addition, after scoring is complete, the Panel will contact references provided to verify any information and may ask for additional references from the applicant.

ELIGIBILITY

The Esposas Militares Hispanas USA Armed Forces (EMHUSA)
is offering two (4) $500 scholarships for the school year 2024-2025.

1. Student must be a Military-Veteran Spouse/Military-Veteran Child.

2. Students must be attending a university, junior college, or other institute of higher learning to receive the scholarship or in need to renew a certification or a license. (High School Students accepted to a University/College).

3. Funds will be sent directly to the institution by EMHUSA once the student’s enrollment is verified. Scholarship recipients will receive instructions providing what information is needed for scholarship disbursement. EMHUSA will send a check to that institution, not to the student directly.
(Scholarship money that is not claimed within one year of award will be returned to the scholarship fund and awarded to another deserving student.)

4. A student may receive only one EMHUSA Scholarship.

5. Selection of the EMHUSA Scholarship recipients will be made without regard to race, gender, religion or national origin.

1. It is the responsibility of the applicant to submit a complete application and send any information requested to EMHUSA.

2.Each scholarship application must include two recommendation letters. Recommendation letters must NOT be from someone related to the applicant.

3. The student’s essay must be his/her own work, typed, and is limited in length to one page.
The applicant will have an option to upload the essays in the application.

4. No application will be processed if it is incomplete.

Complete the application in its entirety.
Incomplete applications will not be considered for scholarship awards.
