We’re a community of Basenji enthusiasts who share a love for this unique and spirited breed. Whether you’re brand new to Basenjis, a longtime breeder or exhibitor, or simply curious to learn more, we welcome members of all backgrounds and experience levels. Our club thrives on the energy, talents, and perspectives of our members, and we look forward to getting to know you. To help us get to know you better, we ask that each applicant provide the names of two current Evergreen Basenji Club members as sponsors. These individuals must not reside in the same household and should be people you’ve known for some time—not just casual acquaintances. Your sponsors should be able to speak to your character, your involvement with dogs (especially Basenjis), and your interest in the breed community.
