The Kinship Support Group is a monthly meeting for Kinship Caregivers, held on the last Friday of each month. The first session will be on Friday, January 31st, 2025.
During the in-person sessions, light snacks and refreshments will be provided. EVOLVE’s Kinship Support Group will be facilitated by Cierra Buckner, LSW, from the Institute to Transform Child Protection, in partnership with EVOLVE.
Why This is Helpful and Useful for Kinship Caregivers:
Emotional Support: Caregivers can share their experiences and challenges in a supportive environment, reducing feelings of isolation.
Practical Advice: Learn parenting strategies and tips from experts and fellow caregivers to better navigate the complexities of kinship care.
Resource Sharing: Access valuable resources and information that can assist in providing the best care for the children.
Community Building: Connect with others in similar situations, fostering a sense of community and mutual support.
