QUALIFICATIONS & RULES
1. This is an OPEN pageant for girl’s ages 0-13.
2. Entry forms must be filled out completely and signed by authorized parties.
3. Check-In Time will be at 9 AM for Ages 0-13 and the pageant will start at 10:00. Come ready to just throw on your dress!
4. Attire for Pageant – Contestants will compete in Sunday Best, Party or Pageant Dress. In No Way does the cost of the contestant’s attire have a bearing on the outcome of the Pageant.
5. Contestants will be judged on Attitude/Personality, Stage Presence, and Wardrobe Presentation.
6. Makeup is allowed for girls but should be age appropriate and used with discretion.
7. A Dressing Area will be provided for contestants. ONLY one adult per contestant will be allowed in the dressing area to help contestants get ready. It is recommended that make-up be done at home if possible. No men will be allowed in the dressing area. No Exceptions.
8. No visitors are permitted in the dressing area including hairdressers, make-up artists, talent coaches, family, or friends.
9. Photogenic (Optional): Pictures must be uploaded and submited when you enter the pageant with this form.
10. We will crown a winner immediately following each age division. 0-13 Winners are highly encouraged to ride in the Faulkner County Parade and will be responsible for providing their own vehicle. We also encourage the winners to come to the Fair and wear their sash and crowns! We will award the first and second runners-up depending on the number in your age group. There will be a Photogenic Winner awarded in each division (if photos are entered).
11. Any display of bad sportsmanship and/or unbecoming conduct, any interference and/or disturbance, foul language, or any other behavioral problem created by a contestant, parent, relative or supporter of a contestant could result in disqualification of the contestant not only from this year’s pageant but all future contests.
12. Only the contestant and one parent/guardian will be allowed free admission. There will be a $5.00 charge
at the door, Children 9 and under will be free.
13. No formal rehearsal will be held. Contestants may practice 1 hour before the pageant starts during check in time. Contestants 0-3 years must have an adult accompany them on stage!
14. The Faulkner County Fair Talent & Pageant Director and or Faulkner County Fair Board reserve the final and absolute right to interpret these rules and arbitrarily settle and determine all matters, questions and differences in regard thereto, or otherwise arising out of or connected with, or incident to the contest, and the right to amend or add to these rules as their judgement may determine. Any contestant who fails to abide by any of the above rules can be disqualified from the competition by the Faulkner County Fair Talent & Pageant Director or Faulkner County Fair Board.
15. The Faulkner County Fair Association is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property. Please treat the facility with the upmost respect and clean-up after yourself when the event is over.
16. Fair and impartial judges are chosen by the Faulkner County Talent and Pageant Director. Contestant and/or parents are not to approach the judges at any time. Their decision will be final. All contestants are judged on Attitude/Personality, Stage Presence and Wardrobe Presentation.
