The 0-12 month division will begin the pageant. As usual, we will crown each division after each group is on stage. After your crowning, you are free to go.

*We will pause for a 20 minute intermission to allow our judges a bathroom break before the 8 and up division. We will also take a group photo of our younger division queens. They will be dismissed after that photo.

Side Awards: Sweetest Face, Prettiest Hair, Dress, Smile, Personality, Eyes

Miss Heart of Greenbrier Award is for the contestant (7 and under and 8+) that collects the most cereal! Admission to the pageant is only one box of cereal! If you forget yours, don't worry. It is $5 (donation for more cereal) for anyone attending 10 and up.

BEAUTY: (All Ages) WEAR YOUR SUNDAY BEST, GLITZ CUPCAKE, OR ANY LENGTH FORMAL WEAR. DRESSES MUST NOT HAVE ANY “LOOSE” GLITTER. (Administration request)

Note: Makeup and clothing must be age appropriate. There is NO score for attire or modeling so feel free to wear what makes you feel gorgeous, and come prepared to SMILE BIG! First Impression is scored though, so bring the confidence, and look and feel your best!

Petite Miss Contestants and up (Ages 8+) will walk on stage and introduce themselves immediately as they step up to the microphone. Feel free to say whatever you want in good taste to introduce yourself. Example: “Hi, I am contestant 18, Ashton Snowden and I am a proud 5th generation Greenbrier Panther!” Or something simple: Hi! I am Ashton Snowden and I am contestant 18.” After your introduction, you will proceed to finish your modeling routine. X’s will be clearly marked on stage. Feel free to use them if needed. Again, modeling is not scored.

Baby-Teens are only scored on THREE THINGS: Personality, First Impression, and Facial Beauty.

SIDE OPTIONALS: Sweetest Face, Prettiest Eyes, Prettiest Smile, Best Hair, Best Dressed, Personality is judged while on stage during group lineup. Come prepared to show that beautiful smile and personality. Your registration fee covers all of these optional awards.

PHOTOGENIC: PHOTOGENIC ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED AT TIME OF DIGITIAL REGISTRATION. High resolution recommended! THIS MUST BE UPLOADED ONLINE WITH YOUR REGISTRATION. NO EXCEPTIONS! Division winners will receive special rhinestone pin and photo banner award.

Note: Not all photos will be printed this year. Only division winners.

INTERVIEW: ONLY Teen and Miss Contestants will engage in a short but sweet 5 minute interview prior to the pageant with the judges. They will be asked very basic questions to get to know the contestants. NO POLITICAL OR CONTROVERSIAL QUESTIONS will be asked. -Just simple questions to get to know the girls. Come prepared in a cocktail dress, interview wear, fun fashion, jumpsuit for interview, then be prepared to change immediately into your evening gown. Interview counts for 50% of your total score.

SPIRIT OF PAGEANTRY AWARD: This award is chosen moments before crowning by Ms. Ashton to a contestant that exemplifies good sportsmanship, kindness, courage, grace, and beauty during the pageant. This is just a fun award that any contestant can win. Could be double crowned.

 

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE IN GREENBRIER TO ENTER OR WIN!

WINNERS FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR ARE NOT ALLOWED TO COMPETE UNLESS THEY ARE MOVING UP IN AN AGE GROUP.

MOTHERS GOING ON STAGE WITH YOUR CHILDREN, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE DRESSED APPROPRIATELY.

IF YOUR CHILD IS CROWNED QUEEN YOU MUST STAY FOR A GROUP PHOTO.

BEFORE EACH AGE DIVISION, THERE WILL BE A GROUP LINEUP ON STAGE. THEN, CONTESTANTS WILL TAKE THEIR TURN FOR INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION.

DEPENDING ON NUMBERS, WE WILL CROWN AFTER EVERY OTHER DIVISION. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

COME READY TO COMPETE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. DRESSING ROOM AREA IS LIMITED.

WE DO NOT GIVE OUT INFORMATION ABOUT CONTESTANTS ENTERED AT ANY TIME. DO NOT ASK HOW MANY ARE ENTERED. IT IS TACKY! PLEASE DO NOT ASK. THIS INFORMATION CHANGES DAILY. WE GUARANTEE A FUN AND FAIR PAGEANT REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY CONTESTANTS ARE ENTERED.

SCORE SHEETS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER CROWNING IS OVER.

THE DIRECTOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DIVIDE OR COMBINE AGE GROUPS DEPENDING ON NUMBERS.

THERE IS NO SCORE FOR MODELING. THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION. DO WHAT FEELS NATURAL TO YOU. THIS ABOUT YOU SHINING ON STAGE.

The Miss Greenbrier Pageant Director and volunteers reserve the final and absolute right to interpret these rules and arbitrarily settle and determine all matters, questions and differences in regard thereto, or otherwise arising out of or connected with, or incident to the contest, and the right to amend or add to these rules as their judgement may determine. Any contestant who fails to abide by any of the above rules can be disqualified from the competition by the Pageant Director.
The Miss Greenbrier Pageant, volunteers, director, and Greenbrier Public Schools is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property. Please
treat the facility with the upmost respect and clean-up after yourself when the event is over.
Fair and impartial judges are chosen by the pageant Director. Contestant and/or parents are not to approach the judges at any time. Their decision will be final. Scoresheets will be given at the end of the pageant. After the pageant is over, they are shredded so make sure you pick them up that day.
