Terms and Agreements for Military & Veterans Boots Ball Volunteering
By submitting the Military & Veteran Boots Ball Volunteer Form, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:
Volunteer Responsibilities:
As a volunteer, you agree to carry out assigned duties to the best of your ability. Your role will be assigned based on the event's needs and your indicated preferences. If you are not familiar with your responsibilities, please feel free to ask the event coordinators for clarification.Volunteers may be assigned roles such as registration, guest assistance, event setup/teardown, hospitality support, silent auction assistance, and other event-related duties.
Dress Code:
Volunteers are required to dress appropriately for a black-tie/formal event. You are encouraged to wear attire that aligns with the event's theme.Footwear: Volunteers are encouraged to wear boots (military or otherwise) as part of the symbolic gesture to raise awareness for military and veteran suicide prevention. If you do not own boots, comfortable, formal footwear is acceptable.Specific dress guidelines will be provided based on the role you are assigned to.
Safety Protocols:
Volunteers must comply with all safety guidelines outlined by the event organizers. This includes any safety or health protocols related to the venue, the event's setup and teardown, and interactions with attendees.Volunteers are required to inform the event organizers of any health or safety concerns that might affect their ability to volunteer, such as allergies, medical conditions, or physical limitations.
Event Schedule:
Volunteers are expected to arrive on time for their assigned shifts. If for any reason you cannot attend or will be late, you are required to notify the event organizers as soon as possible by emailing info@fayettecomspc.org.Volunteers should be available for pre-event setup and post-event cleanup if specified.
Confidentiality:
Volunteers may have access to sensitive or personal information about attendees, sponsors, or partners. You are expected to maintain confidentiality and not disclose any personal or event-related information outside of your assigned duties.Volunteers are prohibited from taking photographs, videos, or recording content during the event unless expressly authorized by the event organizers.
Ticket Purchase:
Volunteers are required to purchase a ticket to attend the event. This ensures that volunteers are seated, have access to food and beverages, and are contributing to the success of the event. Tickets are part of the fundraising efforts, and proceeds support the mission of the Fayette County Military Suicide Prevention Coalition (FCMSPC).
Liability Waiver:
By volunteering at the Military & Veteran Boots Ball, you waive any claims against the Fayette County Military Suicide Prevention Coalition (FCMSPC) and the event organizers for any injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur during your participation. Volunteers are expected to exercise care and caution at all times while working at the event. Volunteers agree to hold harmless and indemnify the FCMSPC, event organizers, sponsors, and venue from any liability.
Event Cancellation or Changes:
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Military & Veteran Boots Ball may be canceled or rescheduled. Volunteers will be notified promptly if any changes occur, and we will do our best to accommodate alternative roles or dates.
Media Release:
By volunteering at the event, you grant the Fayette County Military Suicide Prevention Coalition (FCMSPC) and its affiliates the right to use your likeness, image, and voice in photos, videos, or other media taken during the event for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be included in media content, please notify event organizers in advance.
General Conduct:
Volunteers are expected to maintain a professional and respectful demeanor while interacting with attendees, sponsors, and fellow volunteers. Volunteers should adhere to the values of the event, including promoting awareness, respect, and support for military and veteran suicide prevention.
